It probably doesn't make that much of a difference but Del Bosque hasn't even run his goalkeepers and he's got three guys who are good at different aspects of the game. I don't see the defenders making runs up the sides because that leaves openings for Germany but how do you stop them from going up because they let the front men run into the box. I remember watching them play diagonal passing up to the front leaving openings for passing to the left or right and the odd pass through the middle but that style of flowing play hasn't been seen lately. The Germans have been playing counter-attacking football and it has worked against Argentina and England because they both had shoddy defences. However, the quality of their play has been so high that I doubt it wouldn't be effective against Spain. So if the Germans go one up, they can just draw Spain in and counter repeatedly and score a few more. On the other hand, if Spain score first, they'll force Germany to attack conventionally because they're so f**king good at keeping the ball. And Spain's defence is good enough to keep up with that. praveer Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 Well I agree if Spain scores first Ze Germans will have a hard time getting back cause Spain is just too f**kin good at keeping the ball out of opponent's reach. Beside one has to see that the counter attacks only happened cause the losing team tried to be desperate for goals. This resulted in them sending most of the players near the opponent goal area & leaving just 2 guys to defend their whole half, a goal through a good counter attack is guaranteed in this situation. Let's hope they did study on German Counter Attack and would be ready. If there is one thing to be dreaded of Germans, it's definitely the Counter Attacks. And Plus Germans have always that "surprise" tactics up it's sleeve. Anyways, whatever happens, today's match is gonna blow .Finals doesnt have enough charm for me as much as today's match is gonna have....so GO GERMANY GO ! I am gonna Support SpAiN, just for the f**kin fact that SPAniSH gals are f**kIN Hot.... n**** what ?? havent u seen the bavarian hotties ? great match last night, was not as close as the score line suggests, save for the one last surge made by the south americans, oranje totally dominated. snijder was just also what ever the consequence of the final is, i have a feeling weasly snijder will win this year's player of the year/ballon d' or award (i think the merged one will roll out from next year.) I mean he wont he league, champions league and now a potential WC winner (or a runners up). and what a omgwtfBBQ strike by Giovani also by forlan but i specially loved Giovani's strike, i play in a same position (left fullback) when ever there is a football match with some organisational sense, played in school, and scoring such a goal is always a dream come true.. full on locomotive'esq run fomr the back and a screamer of a strike from left foot. Del Bosque has a good selection in the entire team and I hope he's right today because he's got opponents who aren't shy at taking chances are an agile unit that is capable of playing wide just as they are of playing through the middle. I am interested in seeing if Busquettes can hold his ground today and if the German defensive pairing at the back show their true skill tonight. For the record ... Go Iberia! Spain haven't impressed me at all in the world cup . Only Villa s been firing for them saving them the blushes each time .
