supersim
Well everyone plays with the same ball, so its fair and even. And seriously there is too much being made of the ball, its not like it was last minute addition, its just EXCUSES!!! Nope, there was enough free space for him to try take a shot, see where the goalkeeper is. actually no . All the different leagues have their respective balls . They play with that all season long . When it comes to internationals , they have to play with the sponsors ball ( depends friendlies are usually the team sponsors , where as tournaments as Euro , WC , confed , etc have their own sponsors. ) and the jabulani was officially uneveiled as the world cup ball in end of 2009 , almost 2010 . So its to see that players got to use it maybe like month or say few weeks before WC . Thats like late may . Loads of players have complained about the ball being too light and moving too much , specially the GKs . I dont see how all of them could be wrong. So yeah I think its a crazy ball . Btw the maicon cross cum shot took a wicked and i mean wicked swerve .
rad2689
Don't use that phrase from now on. Its offensive. dude I already apologised for that earlier tujhe hero banne ki koi zaroorat nahi thi don't use that tone with me. AtheK
^^ i agree, but that means everyone got the same time to practice with it, so i say its a fair ground. It was not like 10 teams already had the ball in 2009 season and are punters, so i say they should just get along rather then making excuses... Mel81x
Take a look at his eyes and his body language as the ball goes across. It was a cross not a kick. He never intended to beat the defender and push it into the net but whatever said and done, it will go down as one of THE goals of the competition. Will we see more in the group stages? I sure hope so

supersim
as for maicons goal , I think the keeper was at fault , the ball went through his near post , he was standing way off the line .

Will we see more in the group stages? I sure hope so looked like he was going for a shot to me... he has hit it with the outside of the right foot... so the curl is correct for the shot... besides just ask omar n dhruv.... i scored a similar goal on sunday... from the opposite flank... same angle... less power..... Grimmjow
the swerve was because of maicon's momentum, if you play football regularly it must have happened to you too, if u run straight and try to hit the ball to the left(with the right foot) or to the right(with the left foot), unless you completely get your foot around the ball (as in the case of a proper cross) it will always make an obtuse angle instead of a right angle especially if u are running fast

Nemo
that fk carrigaer has said something regarding the ball giving the germans an advantage... so what abt the germans adidas sponsors bundesliga. they provided the official wc ball in the german league in the last season, giving them 4-5 months of extra time to perfect it. as whole of german squad (except ballack- but he is out cause of injury so moot) plays in germany, it could have helped them a lot. At lest that is what the idea is.
dabba
fk carra n the rest of the bitches complaining like little bitches it is a ball.... how long does it take a pro player to adjust to the physics of a new ball.... light/heavy.... blah blah... it is still round... it still bounces... still swerves n curl's so yea... fk carra... whiny little bitch

Mel81x
So Buffon is out of the WC. Blow to the Italians for sure. Today's lineup has no El Nino at the top of the strike arc but hes probably still training and working on putting on a show. I want to see the Chile Match too. The final match of the day will be cagey.
playstation
AAj ka prediciton. Honduras Vs Chile - 1:2 Spain Vs Switzerland - 1:1 (dont want spain to win) South Africa Vs Uruguay - 2:
Mel81x
Switzerland are missing their top striker and the Chileans look the most ambitious going forward. I am thinking we will see a goal before half time but that all depends on the left winger actually working hard and not expecting the ball to fall at his feet.
