Brazil played well, there passes are sticking. On the other hand Ivory Coast were total disgrace, they started kicking each & everyone and acted for Kaka's red card, I hope they play like this against DPR because those army man will make life difficult for CIV. Hope Elano gets well soon and Brazil continue to play like this.

Referee was terrible, if he hadn't given the second goal from Brazil then Ivory Coast might have had a chance :happydance:

How you, who is one of the saner chaps on the interwebz, can support them is beyond me.

Just search for Marika Fruscio, you'll realize why people love Italian football

Dunga will have a few words for the tabloids regarding the ref tomorrow lol. The committee should rule in favor of Kaka. I don't particularly like Brazil for their shenanigans at most WCs i've watched but CIV beat them to the punch here. Had it been a few minutes earlier we might have seen some pressure and perhaps one more goal too.

Carlos Quieroz better wake up and smell the roses because the next two matches he has are against a strong defensive unit and a team that is slowly getting its rhythm back.

man... ivory coast played very well throughout the match. even when they were 2-0 down, there was a stretch of 15-20 minutes where they were playing dangerously close to the brazilian goal. they were not playing like they were defeated. but in the last few minutes everything went to hell.... sore losers, fouls, acting, bullshit. kaka got screwed, and i hope the guy who caused it gets suspended from the tournament. and what lousy refereeing this tournament... hopeless sh*t.

England trying to emulate France :P

Guardian

The 29-year-old (Terry) had faced the media yesterday "on behalf of the team" and suggested he would head a group of players in expressing their concerns to the manager in the evening's get-together at the side's hotel at Royal Bafokeng. "The players can say how they feel and, if it upsets him, then I'm on the verge of just saying: 'You know what? So what?'" said Terry. "If we can't be honest with each other, then there's no point us being here."

The centre-half made no mention of David Beckham, whose role at present is that of a liaison between players and management, but had named a group that included the current captain, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney, who had all stayed up in the wake of Friday's dismal draw with Algeria to discuss the team's shortcomings and their frustrations with the World Cup campaign to date.

Englands problem are all in their heads.

One thing that Capello said after the Algeria game sticks out... "This is not the team of qualifying, of training, its the team who played the first match when i took over"

basically, as low on confidence and belief as they were post the Euro debacle. If Capello makes 3/4 important players like Rooney, lamps, Gerrard play to their best, they should get to the next round atleast.

Luckily, all they need is a win and they shall top the group.

^ Its a catch 22 situation, Capello says England team are not playing well due to pressure.

Does anyone think that the team will be under less pressure for the last group stage match?

BBC - FA fears Capello could quit if England make early exit

The Football Association anticipates England coach Fabio Capello will resign if his team make their World Cup exit on Wednesday, BBC Sport understands.

The FA is refusing to publicly discuss the possibility of the team's elimination at the group stage. But privately, senior figures admit they are considering their next move if England crash out against Slovenia. This is a remarkable turn of events given the FA renegotiated Capello's four-year contract only on 2 June. The FA removed a break clause from the Italian's four-year deal which would have allowed them to avoid paying him hefty compensation in the event they wanted to sack him.
