the disc is unreadable

I was playin assassins n i get this message in between the game 'The disc is unreadable clean the disc with a soft cloth

so after cleaning the drive and the disc carefully i pop it in and again get the error after a few hours.Its really strange i get it some times while sometimes i don't,wat might be the problem,plz help ......its really annoying

Your X360 seems to be inching towards the RRoD. Try and keep it as well ventilated as possible.

^ if you get the error only while loading a particular level/map, then the disc might be faulty. but if these disc read errors are random, frequent (and happen across discs), then you have a problem...

I am assuming these are legit discs because if its not then the problem is totally different. In any case try playing different discs like movie dvd's and other game discs and if you still encounter the problem then its time to break your head with the tech support

oh yes they r legit discs,don't hav a modded console ,the console is well ventilated(I always play with the ac on),the errors come in random. sometimes they come jus at the start n sometimes even after hours.

I have the same problem(its happened to both my consoles), i called Microsoft today and i am getting my console changed. I think you should do the same.

question-will they give me a new console n take the old one or will i hav to send mine for repairs

I have the exact same problem with my AC disc. All other games work fine. But as soon as I enter "The Kingdom" in AC I get that damned error! The funny thing is that I passed The Kingdom a number of times before.
