The IVG's Gaming Idol Of The Day thread

Alright-Since its unanimous Only developers, etc etc will be a part of this thread. :good:

Just a little opinion but even marketing guys have a huge part in building games.Jerry(not tom) Lambert has been solely credited for increasing sales of ps3.Kaz is pretty much responsible for Sony and obviously playstation.

It's like saying IVG will run peacefully without mods and admins (Answer:it wont, the forum will be down in two days :O )

You see the responsiblity of administration goes to the people I spotlighted. If only developers were to make the games-They wouldnt be made because of multitude of reason including but not limited to Money and Internal fighting. You need someone to manage all departments at once. These people do it

But alright I agree Developers are actually the soul of the game,so well only spotlight them from now on. <_<

Peace

Can I get your autograph?

My grammar neuron jumped out and committed suicide after that post

That wasn't grammer. I am typing on a frikin laptop and often when I type my hand touches the touch sensitive mouse (err I dont know what's it called the thing that laptops use instead of mouse) So the cursor moves to the previous line without me noticing it and I type. Then when I do notice it I have to edit it all.My editing is'nt foolproof so I have to edit it multiple times which takes time

Peace

Oh the hurting... it's really bad this time :P

So.. the 'administrators' do what... stop the 'internal fighting'? The thing because of which games never get made, yes?

Aside from money, of course.

Err thats correct You know that game development is split into departments (Like theres one for audio, one for story, one for coding etc)

So its the job of the manager to direct money into these departments,if there was no manager it would be a chaos for the simple reason that there would be noone to oversee and take the responsibility of developing the whole game.

Thank you everyone for pointing out major mistakes in my grammer.I must say they forced me to consider taking primary school english again.Since it is highly unacceptable to make a few minor(frikin) mistakes on the internet. I totally forgot that you fine men were evaluating my english skills.I hope you had a lot of fun.And @Arnav Thanks for complimenting me too,but I'd prefer it returned to you.(Might I also risk calling you a petty personal going bastid)?

Thank you, since I expect your english evaluation to be over now.We can safely expect proper post's.Also I must apologize as I will not be taking/acknowledging any further comments which do not relate to the topic of the thread.Usually trolling to this extent is met with a consequence in forums but not here,so I refuse to acknowledge trolls

No one today? :D

Anyway today I present the creator of my favourite game: Mass Effect 1

Casey Hudson

Casey Hudson has been a videogame developer for over 10 years,

contributing to some of the industry's most critically and commercially

successful titles. Since his start in the business he has worked at BioWare in

Edmonton, Canada.

Casey started his career in game development as a Technical Artist, creating

3D art and technical solutions for MDK2 (2000) and Neverwinter Nights

(2002). Casey was the Project Director on Star Wars: Knights of the Old

Republic (2003), winner of over 40 Game of the Year awards - and one of the

highest-rated videogames of all-time. As the Project Director on the New

York Times' 2007 "Game of the Year" Mass Effect, Casey led a team in the

development of an ambitious game set in an all-new science fiction universe,

which pushed the boundaries of interactive cinematic storytelling and

advanced digital actors.

Casey is currently leading the development of the third title in the Mass

Effect trilogy, and manages the Mass Effect franchise as its Executive

Producer.

His work Mass effect 1 has been nominated for 'Outstanding Real time visuals in a video game'
