Apparently they have got thier new satellite/transponder. And if you have splitters installed at your place the new channels won't work n stuff. ^ that's what the engineer told me who visited my place. Also all those who have splitters installed kindly call the customer care for a free upgrade. They are offering the second wire installation free till 31st. The Wolfy among us Posted December 26, 2012 Report Share Posted December 26, 2012 Initially the allegations were on STAR saying that they hiked the prices of these two channels from Rs. 40 to Rs 120, and because of that Airtel and others had to discontinue their service. A DTH operator told TOI that ESPN HD, which used to cost Rs 40 per month, is now being priced at Rs 142 monthly, while customers who earlier paid Rs 40 for Star Cricket HD will now have to pay Rs 120 monthly. This hike they said is too steep for them to pass on to their subscribers. However, Tata Sky, Videocon D2H and Reliance Big TV will continue telecasting the HD versions of the sports channels. The India-Pakistan series starts on December 25 and has attracted huge advertiser interest with ESPN expected to rake in around Rs 120 crore. Source And then I found this.
