Nemo
will get the plasma panasonic couple of weeks later when the furniture is ready at our new place. this tv's for mom's room. we were going w/o tee vee for the past 2.5 weeks since shifting home. @ aman. thanks, my dad has a sony crush (cant fault him, whats not to love ) so parents wanted a bravia, but today upon viewing side by side both looked near same and with samsung's sleek-er design and free dth, it just sealed the deal. So are yu gettin a Panasonic or a Samsung...? I personally would not recommend Panasonic and that too plasma... LCD is what yu should be getting and that too Samsung or Sony.. Period! I have Both, a Bravia and a Samsung LCD.. and the only thing that comes close to a Bravia is Samsung...

I have Both, a Bravia and a Samsung LCD.. and the only thing that comes close to a Bravia is Samsung... we would be getting 2 tvs. one 46 in and one 32 in. the bigger would be panasonic plazma, that is more or less decided as at that size plasma is a better bet as per what i have learned. the 32 in would most likely be samsung LED. which model are you getting mate? and what price? Have they already started the diwali offers? samsung ua 32 c5000 is what i have been told. havent seen it personally. my sis and mom went to check them out. Online reviews give a good rating. dunno about the diwali offer. the airtel offer was at Jumbo electronics @ GIP noida.

Death Stryke
Pana plasmas are one of the best. Normal DTH content looks washed out on them but movies/games look unparalleled. Get the panny V series only. Btw I think the C series samsung TVs which are 2010 models are as expensive as Sonys 2010 models. In some cases a few grand more than sony. When I bought my 46 incher sony was 84k and sammy was 90k. But sony rarely give offers. Im ok with Sony but samsung wil b my next tv. Airtel HD is rs. 2940

AtheK
in airtel currently you only have DD HD and Nat Geo HD. DD HD is free, and you have to pay monthly for Nat Geo I think for black band, change the aspect ratio to 16:9 from settings

Go to Menu > settings change output to 16:9 I'm waiting since launch time and they have still not launched even the Discovery in HD which every other DTH player have and here you are thinking of getting all channels in HD
Nikushimi
You have to pay around Rs. 50 monthly for Nat Geo HD. Not worth it IMO as the programs are all crap. DD HD is free atleast untill the commonwealth games.
