achilles
double wiring generally is for the DVR. The only thing that should change with new satellite is the alignment of the dish. Yeah, double wiring is for the DVR, I guess with the DVR two simultaneous streams are going on. ANd the re-alignment would be a nightmare in time and cost. They'll have to send someone over to do it for millions (?) of homes. Tata Sky is supposedly going for vertical polarity, whatever that means, but that would enable them to best utilise whatever transponder space they have. This can only be used in a short run sine over use of this may harm the transponder, so this seem to be a desperate attempt by TS to stop users from switching. For consumers to reap the benefits of vertical polarity twin cables are mandatory thus they are switching all splitters. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk Does not make sense. The wire only transmits the signal caught by the antenna or the LLB. The vertical polarity will change the incoming waves, in very basic terms, from horizontal to vertical. They already put double wiring for my connection when I installed HD plus, he told me its for increased bandwidth and better picture quality of HD channels. Nope. So I want to know that do I have to recharge for SD and then upgrade paying 2k for new box and pay charges for channels. Or there is any shortcut? The dumb CC is not able to understand what I am trying to ask?.

Parvinder Singh
I don't care about their carry forward plans if i plan to upgrade to airtel HD. Also, since i hv airtel dvr which costed me some Rs.5000 few years back, the are still not offering any major discount to me on replacement. The upgrade discount is same if i had normal stb or dvr. which sucks on airtel's part. Also, they hv a policy in which they charge Rs.100 for each visit to address any complaint, if connection is more than 6 months old. Does this apply to tata sky as well ? Also, while recording a series of same program, the repeats also get recorded which is really weird. Is it same on airtel HD or tata sky HD+ ???? Right
What nonsense man, after a week also I don't have it upgraded. Seriously, if people cannot do things in timely manner, they shouldn't promise thing like 24/48 hrs installation and all. I mean it makes them look like fool that I have to raise a ticket, to complaint about the delay. Just say that it will be done in a week or two and save yourselves some embarrassment.
