This makes me think of the time I'll start downloading games digitally... v.v

Bandwidth is not really an issue (on 1meg), but fair usage policies are a different story...

To think I thought 85gigs a month would really be enough.

Speed and cost changes urn outlook and needs.when dial up was the only option who would have gone beyond 500 mb a mth

And pre-orders have started.........@Rs.3799 :cry:/>

http://nextworld.in/product.aspx?sku=SW5757

That's what I was afraid of :( The large sales numbers of blops 2 despite its ridiculous pricing is encouraging more developers to price their games high. Idiots are comparing the prices to US and other countries. When will these guys realise that the buying power of an average Indian is not the same as that of an American or European.

Umm no.

FYI the game isn't making it here officially. Nextworld is importing the game from the UK and games are expensive there versus here so yes it would cost more. If Namco had an official release of the game it would be cheaper.

Didn't know that. :P

But look at metal gear rising. It costs 3500rs and I can bet Lords of shadows 2 will cost the same if they do release it here.

I may be wrong but wasn't money the reason Lords of shadows wasn't launched here? :scratchchin:

The answer to all of the above is the same: RPGs especially the Japanese variety don't sell here. They can do a digital release because India's PSN store does not exist in isolation. Most of the content is taken from the EU/UK PSN front. The cost is low and is a good way to test the market, or at least move a few downloads.

The physical copies are brought in by the distributor for Namco Bandai (E-Xpress) and given how badly JRPGs do in the country, it didn't make commercial sense bringing it in.

And yeah LoS didn't make it here. LoS 2 would make it. Pricing is unknown at this juncture as it depends (for Konami at least) on title to title. Revengeance is at 3499 because the disty gets some marketing spends at that price versus 2999 with no marketing budget.

Read this to get an idea of how bad things can get.

Lol nice article dude. But things aren't that bad in Delhi actually thanks to palika bazaar. They import most games and the pricing isn't too bad either. :P

For example, flipkart , etc sell 3ds games for 3500 each whereas I normally get them for 2800 to 3000 in palika :P

After seeing dead space 3 previews,I think i'll choose this over "Lost planet 3".I am a big fan of all pokemon games(Fire,Ruby, sapphire,Emerald etc ) and would love to have something similar on my console. So yesterday i checked the PSN pre order page(My friend is offering his bandwidth on this :P),But i saw the game size to be 5.6 GB only :scratchchin: what does it mean? Also can anyone tell what the pre order bonuses are?If they are some costumes,I think i'll wait for dead space 3 reviews and choose one.

@Ghost are you reviewing this mate?

Download size is around 20gb and install size 38gb...It will take around 60mins or more to install this game on PS3......

that 5 gb is mandatory install size of retail disc version...
