Finally you posted it lazy pHuck :P gud one ;)

:P thanks :P

LOL, very impressive :majesty:

Both of you make good points. I can understand why Aman wants to stick to the original as much as possible.Maybe it would help if you went off the Karaoke so you have more freedom to harmonise on your own. You have an awesome voice! Maybe try hooking up with a (college) band or something?

You pretty much summed it all up. I cant improvise much whilst singing along a karaoke. If i miss 1 beat while trying something- i spoil it all. I do add some of my own tit-bits here and there if u wud notice n compare wid the original, but thats about it! Cant experiment much... or i'll spoil it.

Also, it is just a hobby, sometimes i go months without performing or even humming a song. :l But i like it dis way! ;)

I had a band, we split. They went metal. :P

Never tried to get into another again... may be its too late now.. :l m in my final year of senior college.. :(

Thanks man!

actually it was a karaoke/a sing along track without da singers voice. Though karaoke's hav some low volume harmonies/singing voices to add on to da beauty f da song.

Such a karaoke thats has harmonies arent allowed in singing competetions...but this was a performance so it was all good. :good:

Excellent work man. I think your hitting the highs and struggling there a bit imo but that will all change if you get the music and perhaps slow it down a bit so you get to the higher notes at your own pace. Karaoke is good for Shts and Giggles but if you really want to explore your voice I suggest finding anyone who will play an instrument as BKG and go for changes in the tone and pace of the song. You've got the voice you just need to find a way to step away from the original sound and pace it so that you are hitting the notes right with your own style.

Perhaps try the Sunday Morning cover by Maroon 5 (Acoustic)?

hey aman, that was a good maroon 5 cover,i've seen quite a few vocalists struggling with this song.As for a cheap home recording setup,well.....all you need is a decent usb condenser mic, would cost you around 5-7k,once you get that other than the vocals you can record the guitar by miking it.As for the recording software i prefer adobe audition simple and pretty powerful, you can use FL Studio to make loops and multi instrument arrangements too,i for one love experimenting with it.Hope this helps ^_^

hiaa thr! thanks so much for ur inputs...

tho i'd like to coontradict some of ur points thr...

actually i dont struggle wid high notes... its just the nervousness and the bad sound setup dat disturbs me... especially while performing. if u listen to me cover a song in my room... u'll see da difference.

:)

also, i think even in dese performances u can easily make out dat its my original voice...and not the original singer's... i dont think there are many similarities in the voice texture and the bass in my voice easily makes it original atleast when comparing it to the voices of enrique/one republic/maroon 5... i dont understand when u guys are actually telling me dat i mimic there voice :ko:

as far as the karaoke goes... i cant help it...cuz m not into the music scene anymore and its really hard to find good guitarists and even harder to compel them to jam up wid u for a video... lol..

also its just a hobby man... karaoke is quick.. easy and accessible when i want... :)

i would love to hear ur take on this. :)

p.s. just found out i had the karaoke for maroon 5- sunday morning... trying the song now... thanks for recommending...
