Choron ka raja Posted June 30, 2010 Report Share Posted June 30, 2010 I am not buying a modded box .... i am although buying an XBOX 360 soon and all i said was i was thinkin over modding it .... well my only reason was the price of new games .... but then i didnt know it was soo looked down at over here .... Sorry i guess .... and YES i NEED MP ... i understand!! even i tried to go that way, but before even using first game for free, i realised its too much of a pain, and decided to go legit again. selling your game back is a good option if you don't like mp, but going pirate and running the risk of getting the console banned is too much of a trouble. I for 1 have a job keeping me busy from like 9 am - 9pm (yea banking is a bitch ) and i like play for like an hour or so IF i get the time .... the buying part is fine but how many get around to selling em again ? There are plenty of people who modded their PS2s to play out of region imported games. And modded PSPs can play all PSone classics and emulate GBA games even better than Nintendo lol. Just a few examples of proper homebrew. True that its not the reason everyone mods it, but I believe the forum is not against discussions on modding because of that. Since modding discussions ARE allowed I really didnt want to say what you are doing is wrong before you admitted you are gonna use it for pirated games. Frankly I dont know anything about 360 modding and what other things a modded 360 can do so thats why I didnt comment before. Anyone whos just come into the gaming scene has over a 100 GREAT titles to play still. He cant go around spending 2-3k for each game, nor buying and selling off of games and bothering with trades, checking up on people reputations whether they're trustworthy, couriers etc. People have a life, and it doesnt revolve around IVG and gaming. I have a modded xbox and its the most used console that i have. If Xbox 360 weren't moddable sales would plummet and leave ONLY people who wanted to play Halo and Gears. The Xbox's sole advantage over the PS3 is that it can be modded/hacked to do things the PS3 currently can't. Running homebrews is the biggest legitimate and downright most sensible thing to do. If OP wants to go for modding, its actually very sensible. If he wants to play online, its just risky. @krish1234 Don't let the moral policing bother you. Most are just a bunch of hypocrites.
