Xbox 360 Freezes!!!

The Xbox 360 just freezes after 30 - 45min of usage. Its been happening since the past couple of days. The screen just freezes and sometimes there are just lines all over the screen. Does anyone have any idea as to why its happening?

Its a Xenon 360 I bought in Oct 07 in Singapore so there is no warranty. But it has never given me any problems till now. Help please... What is causing the problem?

Hope its not dying

Its dying. Similar thing happened to me. It got worse over days and then it would just freeze as soon as a game booted. Worked fine at the dashboard. Then it RROD'd.

Its in heaven now with all the other good consoles.

Oh sh*t  I seriously hope that its a power brick issue...

VERY good advice.

Also try connecting it to a different power outlet.

Will try that too... Thanks...

Sad man, it's dying a slow death.

Try one more thing, try to run console without HDD and just one controller and see if it still freezing. If not then you can prolly get done with HDD and use USBdrive for saves and stuff.

This solution reduces power consumption, theoretically.

Ya its dying. Happened to me. After a point, it started freezing at the splash screen itself. A day or two later it was gone.

Then Redington brought a new one (which was manufactured even before the one it replaced )

peace

Cleared the cache and played for half an hour and it didn't freeze... Will try playing it longer later... But if it doesn't work then will remove the HDD and give it another try... Thanks...

Whoa, lets not scare him

Too late :(

Make sure you check the light on the brick! That'll tell you if its a power issue.

well my 360 was brought in 07 (or was it 06.. dont remember) and it made a sound of a horny tractor while running, so never heard a 'pop'
