DivX pro and vlc for me. I think video rendering is slightly better with divx player

VLC FTW :panic: plus VLC performs better..opens up pretty darn quick then the rest (Atleast in my case) Plus the layout of the player seems classic..unlike others..>

yeah, VLC loads faster but DivX player's video performance is better. I noticed this while watching True Blood S03 downloands.

Just one OT quetion. :arigato:

Why is 1280x536 called as 720p and 1920x1040 as 1080p?

Its not 720p or 1080p really right?

FAIL!

720p is 1280*720

1080p is 1920*1080

well if you include the black bare at the bottom to fit in the 16:9 aspect most movies use it forma a more common 720p and 1080p.

However some movies dont have the black bars at the top and bottom hence that resolution.

Is Because of the ASPECT ratio in which the movies are made ..........

now movies use mostly 2.35 ratio rather than 1.77 (16/9)

but some movies are now also released 1.77 ........like all animated ones .............

we call them them 720p coz we dont like calling 576p or 800 p ...

the resolution 720p stands when the width is 1280 which always is .............
