He gave out a list of 15 movies that had an influence on the Metal Gear series. This was done as part of a campaign with Tsutaya, a Japanese retailer that specializes in media and movie rentals. here goes the list : The Guns of Navarone Served as the basis for Metal Gear's infiltration game concept The Great Escape Provided hints for Metal Gear's gameplay Goldfinger The 007 series had the most influence on Metal Gear's birth, according to Kojima. He believes Goldfinger has the most entertainment value of all the Connery Bond flicks. 2001: A Space Odyssey Snake and Otacon's real names of David and HAL were taken from this movie Planet of the Apes Gave Kojima the courage to put anti-war messages into a game. The Deer Hunter Snake's bandana is taken from this movie, not from Rambo. Dawn of the Dead Served as a hint for Metal Gear's hide-and-seek gameplay Full Metal Jacket The sniper scene in the second half of the movie influenced MGS1's Sniper Wolf. Predator Provided hints for MG3 and MGS4's camouflage systems. Die Hard Provided hints when Kojima and crew ere trying to figure out how to go from Metal Gear's 2D gameplay to Metal Gear Solid's 3D gameplay. Heat Made Kojima decide to give Metal Gear realistic gun fights rather than Hollywood-style gun fights. Black Hawk Down The atmosphere, color and lighting were references for MGS4's opening Middle East sequences. Children of Men The lengthy single shot sequences provided hints for MGS4's documentary touch and hand-held camera style. The Bourne series Kojima believes that this movie changed the style for action movies to come. Casino Royale Kojima didn't really say how this particular Bond film influenced Metal Gear, although the opening credits for the movie did make him think back to MGS3's trailers. If you have patience to read the entire story here it is Mgs story .Otherwise you will have to download the videos of the three games through torrent .
