rana Posted March 22, 2008 Report Share Posted March 22, 2008 To all Metal Gear Solid newbies like me who have never played a single game in the series.....DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS! just watching the cutscenes was one of the most amazing experiences.....i kinda stayed aloof from all the MGS4 hype because i had no clue about the series, the mindblowing story, the characters....but now that i've seen the characters and know the story, i cant wait to play MGS4 and the three games before it.....if yall like, i can help yall get the cutscenes so yall can catch up.....but please....DO NO SLEEP ON THIS peace can u give me the link of that cutscenes !now i really wanna know the story of mgs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's your proof, Middle East level takes place in same time as others, its not a flashback or prologue mission, Snake is already "aged". Everything that happened between Manhattan incident and 2014, Snakes' rapid aging, Raiden's tragedy, new Foxhound, Meryl's defection etc will probably be explained in the intro CG movie. Its still says solid snake and not old snake like they showed in the gameplay hud. Meryl's not defected, her team is on an official mission to take down liquid, snake on the other hand is on an unofficial mission. this isn't justice, its a covert assignment, a hired hit. I don't think all this happened immediately after Manhattan. Btw, voted for Snake Eater, my personal favorite in the series, can never forget boss fights with the End and Volgin's Shagohod. The gameplay leap from mgs1 to 2 was much greater than 2 to 3 or even 3 to 4(from what is showed). Personally the story was too ambitious and daring for its own good, and you guys have to also remember a lot was cut because of the 9/11 incident. Btw in the new podacst they said that the flashback sequences will feature scenes that were never shown(must be some from 2) Also james the guy who does postmortem essay's on games got a chance to work with kp and also play the game his words are "MGS4 IS STUNNING". Psychological elements in a.i is still present, eg- a guard will react totally differently when shot upon according to the state of his mind.hideo and his team took the help of a big japanese university for that stuff.
