As for MGS3 , I dunno , I just felt the characters weren't really fleshed out , with the exception of The Boss . However , I must give special credit to the ending of MGS 3 . No place to Hideo out did himself IMO .

Yes, the cobra unit members didnt really have any backstory to them.

Agreed. They did have backstories to them, Kojima just didn't flesh them out in the game. Dead Cell members had lot of character to them but when it came to actual gameplay encounter, it was just...meh. I don't remember a single boss fight from MGS2, while almost every boss encounter from MGS3 was memorable and epic. Each was different from other and both lethal and non-lethal methods needed completely different strategies. Let's hope Kojesus mixes best of both games for B&B unit.

Agreed, mgs2 has better developed boss stories but not battles. The best fight was with olga and that happens inside the first hour of the game.

i have one question- will it be fun to play against these cybernetic females as much as we had with the other baddies of the series?

Yes...i think Hideo is just trying to create bosses like those in Mgs3-snake eater...bosses in all Mgs1 and Mgs2 were created by situation but only Mgs3-snake eater they were transformed into bad people by war....and same is with these girls the sorrow and suffereing of war has transformed them into such wild beast....like in mgs3-snake eater...Hideo has said that killing them or saving them will be in your hands(i mean snake) and they will have there own story too

....these bosses will have a tragic past....same like in Mgs3-snake eater.
