It's either unresponsive or sometimes takes in a wrong input, plus it's not quite ergonomic but it's certainly not a big problem. Some games really need you to play with the D-pad especially fighting and sports games. Like someone already mentioned I seriously can't imagine pulling off combos in a fighting game without a D-pad.
