Solitaire
Uh.....don't get me wrong, but I'd suggest skipping 3D this gen. It's way too over-hyped. The tech isn't that much advanced when compared to last gen tech (nvision too) and it's still a lot of strain on the eyes. You'd be spending tonnes of cash just so that you're eyes get spoilt. So, why the hassle? P.S. That's my opinion I remember back when I used to play the (then) newly released Rogue Squadron 3D on my (then) brand new Nvidia (or was that a Riva) card with those 3D spectacles that came free. That did look good but had the same headache problem if you played for too long. Still, it looks like a slight variation of the very same tech is what's being sold today, more than 10 years on. Solitaire
I'm not ranting about the res. You've played Metro right? Metro 2033? yes I have. Why? FOV problem? I thought you could set that right with an INI fix.

I'll wait till it's safe for my eyes and brain nerves IMO Metro 2033? yes I have. Why? FOV problem? I thought you could set that right with an INI fix. Nope, that never bothered me. The detail. I couldn't play on high/very high using my card, and that's what I was telling to Karoo!

Oh, it works fine for me on the 8800GTX. This damn card is holding up pretty well despite being so many years old. One damn good investment. Wait, On paper yours is better than mine by only about 2-5% performance and it should narrow down for current releases. Something's not right here! EDIT: I confused your card with 8800GT.....missed the x part

ΨΨ babloos ΨΨ
and you are still buying a 470 nope i aint buying .i look for bang for buck.think about paying 12k for a inferior slower and hotter 460 gtx when u get 5850 for 15.5k and the idle temp for 5850 is 30-35 at full load its like 50-55*c,and these fermi are 50-60 at idle and 90-95 at full load,460 gtx is no exception ,465 gtx is hot as 480/470 gtx,and 460 gtx is nothing but 465 gtx with few minus cores
