ceoshubham
They update their movies once every 15 days but sometimes they extend it to a month. And as for TATA SKY vs Dish TV Tata Sky wins hands down in my opinion.I personally haven't faced any problem whatsoever in the rainy season or any season for that matter.Tata Sky video quality is far better than Dish Tv.I can say that confirmedly as I previously had Dish TV on my 32'' LCD and it used to look really grainy.Tata Sky also has more promotions and other offers.Sound quality is also OK.I am not much of a purist in audio, dont even have a 5.1 channel so you may need to reconfirm this fact. Overall based on pricing, quality and extras TATA SKY deserves my vote.
Don Karnage
The only reason why Dishtv caught my attention was because of them saying that they deliver stuff in DVD quality which means all the channels will be in 720x576 [PAL region] which is really good if you have a 720p HDTV but i have never cross checked the whole thing Its nowhere near DVD quality. The only thing they might have in common with DVDs is the MPEG2 compression used. Also Tata Sky has the better installation and customer care IMO. The bandwidth allocation to channels varies from time to time (both DTH providers have to juggle bandwidth allocation) and from channel to channel. Dish TV gives preference to Zee channels and Tata Sky to Star channels. A terrestrial cable provider can theoretically provide much better quality but my experience with them has been terrible to say the least. EDIT: After reading the post above I also remembered that Tata Sky has fewer problems during rainy seasons. I think both providers only provide Stereo sound. Check out the bandwidths allocated to channels by DishTV and TataSky (Network Provider column has the network name).

MightySkate
i have a Hathway stb and altough the pic gets pixilated a few times on my lcd tv i can tolerate that. They have a few extra channels like club Madrid tv, neo sports, a german, italian and french channels as well the french channel has clearly the upper hand of all the channels i've seen so far in terms of picture quality and sound. It's like watching an HD broadcast And i only pay rs. 200/month
