Right
Indian HR Ministry brings $35 low cost computing device to reality – Prices to drop further This is big news – Finally a low-cost computing-cum-access device has been unveiled by HRD minister Shri. Kapil Sibal. The price is this device is expected to be around $35. However, HR ministry is aiming at bringing down the cost of this device to $20 and ultimately to $10. IIT’s and other Technical Institutions are setting up research teams to cover wide range of issues and capability enhancements to achieve the ultimate goal of bringing down the the cost of this device to $10. ____ Those heaps of files suggest that these guys do not really prefer computers. Hope it doesn't turn out to be another embarrassment, the last was actually a USB flash drive or something.

Aftrunner
How do they expect to keep the price so low? Seems absurd. I am a bit skeptical esp cause the government is involved.
Bulovski
The pricing is actually absurd - if it was around $100 I would be assured that this would release in time. I also don't notice any connectivity options - if they say it requires a dock and ethernet that will be the biggest fail in the world.
Chewie
just the costs of material should be much more than their selling price. r they selling at loss like the ps3
Death Stryke
I dont believe this. All their previous projects like for instance the simputer, and so many other cheap computer projects failed to even get a proper launch. I am 90% sure this will meet the same fate

Shantz
This is nothing but a means to siphon off another few millions out of the tax payers' coffers... 35$ is too low just for the RAM/Screen/chipset.
Solitaire
$35 I'd buy this just for the heck of it! Cheaper than a PS3 game ffs!
