^^how much is the the PC version?

999 retail.

i've been reading that the demo is 2-3 months old and some of the issues with it (such as audiovisual bugs or glitches, performance, ai issues, load times) will be fixed in the final version. honestly i'm very skeptical when people say things like that... your demo is supposed to be representative of your final product and these kinds of excuses are bs. in any case, i didn't have any significant problems but some folks are reporting issues with the demo. one common problem is amd 5xxx card owners having the game crash on them (which is temporarily fixed by disabling post processing).

So I played this on Steam today (requires Origin ID). The RPG bits are laughable but the game is goddamn fun. Mostly getting this over ME3.

why ? Although its not as detailed as in proper games like skyrim or FO, you have multiple skills paths to improve upon (combat, magic, stealth etc), multiple races to chose from , attributes, proper leveling system, loot etc. I'm not sure if it'll have branching storylines or multiple choice quests.

The character creation system does not have enough options except cosmetic stuff, there's a somewhat 'deep' skill tree but that does not equate to a good RPG. Not to mention 'choice' is an integral part of every RPG. It's a button masher with better RPG mechanics than Fable but definitely not a good RPG.

Played the game a little more - the UI is absolutely terrible, combat is awesome, don't expect a great story because it it "The Fantasy Game: The Game" with dull dialogue, the art works for me. I'll mostly get it for the PC.

Also, is it just me or the game has insane Planescape references?

Being a self proclaimed elitist RPG purist and a very-very dickish prick I had written the game off completely, before trying the demo. It does ape a lot of features from some successful franchises but is somewhat fun the same way as Darksiders is.

OT: Can you guys suggest a decent Open world ACTION RPG for PC/PS3 which is aged well? Mostly set in fantasy settings like Skyrim. Is Gothic series good? I already have Witcher 1 and 2, FO3.

1. Morrowind (the definitive Elder Scrolls game) - Get the mods which make it look shiny and all.

2. Gothic series - Diablo meets open world

There are so many older ones, nothing new - sadly. Sam started this thread a long time back which had some excellent recommendations. I'm not able to find it, see if you have any luck.

I did that. Now the game is FUBAR. FPS is around 1-5. Visuals are too heavy on my PC, and the game crashes randomly. I feel that I should've stuck with plain shitty Morrowind :(
