TonyMontana
Hey I got the official BT headset for PS3. I am unable to pair it with either my PS3 or my phone. - When I try to pair it with the sys through Discovery mode (Accessory Setting > Manage BT devices) it doesnt go beyond "scanning". - When connected directly through the USB, I get error 80121607 and the headset gets turned off. - When I pair it with my Nokia E63, the device is recognized but it is not accepting the default password (0000). I even tried other numeric combinations (1234, 8888 etc). Do you have any suggestions to help troubleshoot this issue?

dabba
pairing via usb cable - connect the usb directly to the headset. power indicator shud light up solid green for 2 seconds... indicating headset n ps3 are paired, otherwise indicator will stay solid red for 2 seconds discovery mode - press n hold power button until the power indicator flashed alternatively in green n red, indicating discovery mode ps3>settings>accessory settings>manage bluetooth devices select to register the device scan, select device, enter pass key (0000) same way for pairing with a mobile phone... Let me try again with the steps you suggested and see if works. I did go through the manual and tried, it didnt work somehow. Pray it works with this... The mobile bit works to the point of asking for a password but doesnt accept 0000 (any other obvious defaults) as the password. Thanks so much for helping out bro...will try it again in the morning.
