Paapi
I agree with what Jigsaw has said. I wouldn't do that if I were you. Though going to showroom and creating some scene or talking to the manager is seems good enough. And seeing by what you are going through, I really feel sad for you and regret the decision of paying for extended Croma Warranty. Its really sad that these bastards get away by doing such things. Conusmer Court is actually a good option but you need some real time and persuasion and self motivation to push it. All can be done except the time factor . I think getting the time out to log a complaint in consumer cell is a big problem.
AtheK
honestly speaking you can just not only blame croma, they are just helping you to get insurance (i am not pushing blame out of them, being in retail they are equally reaponsible) but what you need to understand the fault also stands with sony, even if it would have been normal warranty it would have taken atleast a month, when the base is weak, anything to everything built over it will crumble. aRch-0n
Why isnt the Topics name been changed to YLOD yet ? No point in bashing croma people anyhow, like Chullu said blame sony as well, and Jigsaw
Paapi
IMO here Sony has nothing to do here. The warranty of one year from Sony has expired, so what croma or whoever is paying for extended warranty, they are delaying the release of the funds to purchase the replacement or in another words new PS3. I wish I could shoot that bastard
Walker
Don't do anything foolish like deface private property. Remember they are in the wrong and let the focus be on their incompetence. Here's something you could do. Speak with the manager and give him an ultimatum. Make sure he understands you mean business, get his written word if needed. Make sure he understands that if the word is not kept you will go to the papers. Nothings scares these f**krs more than bad publicity. It worked for me a few years back, that too in a small state like goa. Oh yeah the fault lies with Croma and AIG. Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
Does anyone of you kids realise physically damaging property could land sagalime in a legal tussle? encouraging him to molest croma property will most likely screw his case in an altogether different way... and it will *NOT* help him get the ps3 replacement. If anything, khaali-fokat mein police case tak baat pahunch jaayegi. @the OP stay calm and focus on getting the replacement...do not fall for the temptation of doing smth rash bro... Consumer Court = Yes, Newspaper Article = Yes... Do things like these... thats what will force the croma-suckers to get your ps3 back. First of all i was being sarcastic, and he got the sarcasm as well, I hope he did Also Why would someone do that kind of a thing if he knows he will be caught, graffiti is illegal, everyone knows that, so they also know that if you wanna do it then do not get caught . SO if Sagalime you are not that much of a batman then don't take my advice, cos then that will be stupid. I hope you get your replacement soon. HundredProofSam
So my 60 GB PS3 gave the YLOD. Today, my 80 GB PS3 gave me the GLOD. Time for number three. Let's see what the slim has in store. peace
sagalime
i did buy this. But as i read your advice and my friends' i do realize that if i do that i will get happiness for maybe a few hours. But it wont really speed up my ps3 replacement, and also it has the potential of causing legal hassles for me....but i still really want to do it...i am torn between the choice... i will go tomorrow to croma if things are ok on the streets otherwise saturday and talk to the manager and tell him .... ...sh*t is about to get real bro... i wonder .... why dont sony and croma realize by not replacing consoles fast they are also suffering losses. for more than a month i have not bought a single ps3 game. i would have bought 3 to 4 in that period easily and with the ps store launch maybe downloaded a couple also.... Jigsaw
^^ Croma couldn't care less if you don't buy games from them. I can see though the encouragement by the silly kids in this thread, to get yourself screwed, has worked... You're almost there

sagalime
.......ahem now i am sort of glad i did not vandalize croma. today i went to croma. straight to the counter and asked for the manager. he came i started creating a scene. 15 minutes later i had that in my hands. i would have gotten a ps3 right then but they did not have 120 gb in stock and i did not want to pay rs. 3000 extra for a 250 gb model. he assured me i will get it within 2 days. while making the bill he told me i will be getting a 1 year sony warranty on this and asked whether i will buy extended croma warranty .......... he did apologize profusely and said that this is a one off incident and said it was all because of miscommunication (?) Now the dilemma is what do i do with the all dem paint cans..... TP ?

sagalime
oh yeah forgot to add, remembered after seeing sam's gobbled dead rising post, mine had sucked in dirt 2. so i told the manager about that and showed him same was written in the work order also. he called up the jeeves ppl and they told him they will call me within half hour about its status. now it has been almost 2 hours. good thing is gt 5 is coming so i wont really be missing dirt2...but still it cost like 2.5k one of the customer service guys at croma said it will be difficult because they might have scrapped the ps3 by now..... @ fatman
