looks like i m nxt i the line, ps3 ( 1 yr extnd warranty left from croma) shows red light blinking but, only when turned on for the first time after a long break. it did show the yellow light once. though its working nw what course of action do u guys suggest? will these service people accept it in these 50 50 condition?

 

@sagalime, when i contacted croma , they told me to take it to chembur nt goregaon, any idea?

Jeeves have service centers at different places, chembur must be closer to your house i guess.

I hope you have read this thread. if not then let me tell you jeeves people are total numbskulls.

If the delay starts getting long involve croma directly, talking to jeeves people is completely useless.

 

I doubt they even try to fix it. Most probably you will get a replacement. Backup all your data, and remove any discs.

about the firmware, i honestly don't know because i inserted my 500 GB disc and it asked for a format and stuff so i installed the latest one i had, 3.2

i just read this thread and wanna congratulate sagalime on gettin a brand new ps3 man! :cheers:

but damn.. the wait!

im wondering if the grey market would b a better option, I would HATE 2 wait for as long as u did, if i got a ps3 from the grey market n it conked out, atleast i wouldn't have 2 wait for anything.

ok so i submitted my console 2day at the croma extended service center & the person in charge told me that i ll get a replacement within 3 days from the service center itself bcoz, they hv ps3's in stock nw(160 gb version). I ll only get the console & power cable, no other accessories + one year warranty.

 

hey "sagalime" u were lucky man that u got everything from the store + extn warranty. though i ll get a new machine, i ll miss out on the ds cntrl & warranty thing.

 

I hope its within 3 daysssss.

ya me too surprised by the efforts, i got the console & cable only. but i got 1 yr sony warranty too.

 

 

Your slim console got YLODed? How old was it? BTW 7 days is nice.

no had 40 gb fat one, died after 2 1/2 yrs.
