Some person from chennai has shown interest to open gaming lounge as franchise . Presently the invester has a place in chennai for which i wanted to know all IVG members opinion whether the place is suitable for console lounge or not. Special request to people who have been to chennai or who are presently in Chennai. As if place get good vote i will sure visit and approve it. Why i told to change is not because Blur is near! but the Crowd who comes in spencer isn't any good these i dont think any gamers will go there maybe yes but very rarely! Being blur close by wont change anything just try to give them best price possible and keep updated with Tournaments!! Make sure the consoles are interconnected because most of them in chennai will come in a gang of 5 or 10 and will want multiplayer i have seen many of them in blur personally who come and go away as they dont give COD MW 2 LAN MultiPlayer in Consoles! Spencer seriously is a bad option! Make sure you have Gears,Fifa,Halo,COD!! These are the most played in Xbox and Try and get some Computers as well AFAIK in Blur most of them are PC Gamers and GameGears are far away from this and there is also one thing called Wired its also far away so no worries only Blur is near by! Despite the fact that Spencers still is one of the biggest malls in India and Asia, the crowd that visits Spencers is less classy, so there is large no.of of local crowd, who are unlikely to be interested in gaming. Its not a bad place, though. You'll still have solid business, but somewhere else like say Chennai Citi Center(far from Blur) or Express Avenue(which is very very close to Blur actually), you could do much better. Out of all places, Id recommend Citi Center first, but it depends on availability of space. Again, let me conclude saying that Spencers is not a bad idea. Its just not the best. Blur Being close doesn't change anything if you can come up with something competitive!! the one who is taking Franchise should actually know about Gaming Business!! DealinGames Posted August 4, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 bhai sab ko rep karunga.. i have been into lounge bussiness from quite some time so ofcourse i will put up 10 xbox alteast with lan gaming..........place 400sq feet wont be problem i already have come up with design for it. just forwarding you guys suggestion to my investor and yeah investor dont have any knowlege about gaming he just have money ...previously he was opening zapak i just told him to give me 1 day time so i can tell him about console also presently he has that place only....in spencer mall. also he is asking should i put PC lounge in spencer mall or not.. thanks everyone for suggestion.. DealinGames Posted August 4, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 i talked up with my investor ..right now he told presently he have space in spensor mall only. and he asked me to visit the place.........so i will be there in last week of aug..let see what can be done.. its his property so he dont wanted to invest anywhere else but i promise if its going to be console we surely try our best to get better gaming on good pricing. even you will get 18% discount games in my chennai store for sure........ @we have seen the pc lounge and console lounge anywhere so i belive i get good area about 400sq feet and provide good service we can make good customer.. will really need lot of effort and help from fellow ivg members Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
shekdown Posted August 4, 2010 Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 Oh also, Cool Rocker. Spencers Plaza is massive. MASSIVE. Its a bloody maze. There are shops everywhere. Over 1000 shops. So, ground floor is very very big. And it can be anywhere on ground floor. There are some parts on ground floor which simply cannot be accessed by people, because it will be the interior of the place. People wouldnt even know about Console. However, there are some brilliant spots on ground floor which are visible to almost everyone, so they will know about it, the moment they enter.
