I hope they have big screens on other floors. That place is not really huge. I was about to register my team for the CS 1.6 tourney but backed out. We really need to polish our skills.

Also, why the hell are the Mumbai events happening at Essel World of all places??? They could have settled for a more central location.

  • 2 weeks later...

So whats up with this year. The online registration isn't working, forums still not up and not even any contact details mentioned. Guess WCG India is still suffering from poor organization.

Hey bro.....just started playing Halo Wars SP. I can't even do well against the AI :(

Okay I'd be grateful if someone can provide me with the name of the Mumbai clan who shat on the Hyderabadi clan called 'Assasins' (no typo, that's how they spelled it) and wiped their butts in the Hyderabadi clan's face.

Game - CS 1.6

No clue about that. Since I didn't register I wanted to see what we missed and calculate what could have been our chances or surviving the first round of CS. The crowd was very less on the first day, less compared to other cities and the facility wasn't really great. There was a power cut during one match and tool around an hour to fix and restart.

Most of the crowd was for CS which was being aired on a projector. I don't think there was any support for other games. Overall it was quite disappointing with an exception of the match I described in the previous post.

Sorry man, I'm not really in touch with competitive gaming at all. Last WCG I attended was when ACID were still champs - this was in Mumbai back in 2004 maybe, during the Kawabonka days. I was the referee back then for the CS rounds. This whole 'team paying for themselves' is really news for me. Quite surprising. This year the trips are sponsored though. They've been advertising 'win a free trip to LA' and all that on the WCG site too.

I didn't take part in the tournament. Recently we started playing CS after works and though we are a decent team and could try our luck at the WCG, which never happened. I never expected us to make all the way through but judging by the quality we could have easily taken a couple of weaker teams apart and could have matched evenly with one of the stronger ones. Maybe next year.

Isn't the mobile preliminary for as5 done online? But there is no info on it other than just registering your high score.
