KnackChap
November could be a good month for PS3 owning Splinter Cell fans. Although shunned for Sam Fisher’s latest outing, Amazon France has listed ‘Splinter Cell Trilogy’ coming exclusively to the PS3 at the end of the year. If one were to assume, it would be that Ubisoft is releasing a HD remake of the first three games. None of this has been confirmed yet, so stay tuned for an official confirmation/denial. http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/08/07/splinter-cell-trilogy-for-ps3/

Aftrunner
Very cool. Its a shame that it will have the first SC instead of the good version of Double agent (the Xbox version not the 360/PS3/PC one) but aside from that thats a kick a*s compilation. Hell Chaos theory alone (if they update it to play online) is worth the price. And PT has an amazing SP campaign.
praveer
Double Agent on PS2/Xbox was an amazing game, the 360/PS3/PC version were too ambitious for their own good...though it did had its moments , but the JBA headquarters missions kept telling me what was lacking in this game. HundredProofSam
I'm guessing Double Agent won't make it into the trilogy. It'll probably be Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory peace
Joy
Cool , but I have all of them on PC Is it worth it to get it again just for the MP.

Aftrunner
Cool , but I have all of them on PC Is it worth it to get it again just for the MP. If you have them on PC already then probably not. I mean IMO the only decent MP was in CT. And I am pretty sure there wont be anyone left playing that a month after release. DA and CT had amazing split screen campaigns though. But DA probably wont be included so all thats left is CT. They should have dropped the first SC in favor of DA. playstation
Now POP trilogy also expected.... Rumor: Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia Trilogies Coming to PS3 While Ubisoft didn't reveal anything about this yet, Amazon France is currently listing two upcoming Playstation 3 games: Prince of Persia Trilogy and Splinter Cell Trilogy. These games already exist for the previous generation consoles and the PC, and Splinter Cell Trilogy included: Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, and the original Splinter Cell, while Prince of Persia Trilogy included: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones. No word yet about any changes to these games in their transition to the Playstation 3. While these foreign Amazon listings tend to hit the nail on the head most of the time, keep in mind this is just a rumor. Still, would you be happy if Ubisoft really released these titles? source do want .
Nemo
woweee !! i never played any sam fisher this would be awesome ! back in my ps2 days when the gamer were coming out i always thought they're just imitation of mgs (yes i was naive and stupid) now during SSC's release i have been told about sam fisher's awesome and in particularly the chaos theory (?) game. finally will get to see what is so great about mr. fisher and super news about the pop as well. have played them on ps2 but the series is so, so damn good that wont mind shelling out monies for a hd remake, surely over that turd of a game they passed for a POP this year

Bulovski
Aren't these games dirt cheap on the PC and will run on the most ancient of systems? I played a bit of Chaos Theory and it gives a nice Thief feel to it.

Joy
This is a nice way for publishers to make more money from old games which otherwise don't sell at all on PS2 and sell only a fraction on PC nowadays. They charge good amount of money 40$ in the name of HD remake , I guess after seeing the success of GOW Collection , we can expect more and more of these classic compilations on PS3 from now on. Splinter Trilogy on PC is miles better cause of controls , which is not the case with POP trilogy, which suits the controller more than mouse/keyboard.I hope Rockstar gets the signal and release San Andreas & Vice City this way.
