Babyzelda
Is Flipkart good with delivery times? They have the Watchmen Absolute Edition, Says Delivery in about 8 Days, do they do it? I once ordered EarPhones which had a similar delivery time and days later I was told it cannot be delivered? Any Pointers?

Any Pointers? Yup, extremely accurate with books. Also compare prices with HS18 (though their delivery times are about 2 weeks).
El Tigre Chino
Just started Y - The last man and Chew, both really good so far. Will pick those up when I'm done with these. @BBB

The Wolfy among us
Guys, I am keen on reading a bit of comics as I've never read any of them at all. I am confused as to which super hero/ any others to start with, and also which edition/book number (what exactly do you call it) to start from. Can you suggest something. I am not sure if I will be into manga/ japanese ones, so let's stick to american ones for the time being. Or else is there some new popular comic which has come up in the near future which i can start off?
Bird Bird Bird
^^ Comics are more than superheores/DC/Marvel. A good place to start is comicsworthreading.com. You can also try out Grovel. There are many (many) forms of comic variations. You need to read, search and choose your poison. You can also start following webcomics and see what you like. dylanjosh
Start with Batman, since he's the most familiar, and currently the most popular. And he has arguably, some of the best material. The Killing Joke The Dark Knight Returns I don't think it qualifies as a graphic novel, but read Hush. Another Batman comic that's very entertaining and some great art. Read The Watchmen, even if you've seen the movie. Edit: On the manga front, I recommend starting with Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin. Those are my favourites. Note that manga has to read from right to left Edited February 11, 2013 by Dylanjosh

Bird Bird Bird
Has anyone read Amrita patil's Kari and Adi parva ? Heard good things about Kari. Kari is quite good. Reads more like a poetry. Much much better than the crap churned out by Vimanika comics (and Random House to some extent) :| Yet to read Adi Parva.
(A)Kira
Full metal alchemist is a good manga to start on. If you want some horror stuff check out drifting classroom. Its like lord of the flies in a barren wasteland. Crazy as hell. My personal favorite is Yakitate Japan. If you want american start with Deadpool. That guy is just awesome. The Wolfy among us
Thanks birds and Dylan. I'll start with batman, and comics worth reading. But with batman how do I know Which issue to start with? And for watchmen, how many issues are there? Can I start with 1?

But with batman how do I know Which issue to start with? And for watchmen, how many issues are there? Can I start with 1? For Batman, see Nimmo's post on the top of this page. Watchmen is a single large sized (awesome) GN. Recently a series called "Before the Watchmen" started out, but it isn't anything near the original.
