Hey guys. Have been using Chrome since the past year or so. And since now it has a mature extensions gallery, lets make a definitive thread for all the good extensions.

 

Ad blockers & Flash blockers:

I'm adding a few.

 

1) QR Code Tag Extension - Very useful for people with Android phones, it creates a QR tag of the page you are on.

2) Chromed Bird - Twitter Client Extension

3) Go To IMDB - Highlight the movie on your page, and it will automatically display the rating by searching through IMDB, and give you a shortcut to go that particular movie page.

4) AutoHD for Youtube - Automatically plays in the format of your choice, which can be selected.

5) Twitter Extender- When surfing the Twitter webpage, addiitonal options are shown. Must have.. give it a try!

6) RSS Subscription Extension - Easy way to subscribe to RSS feeds.

The session management & twitter extensions are f**king awesome !!

Session management remembers your previous session(s) even after a re-install (as it syncs with the Google Bookmarks) !!..

Alright. 2 workarounds currently exist:

 

1) From Chromium help

Change TMP and TEMP from:

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp

to: C:\WINDOWS\Temp

Now reboot and try.

 

2) From EddieonEverything

Download the extension you want to install to your hard drive by right-clicking the install button and choosing “Save Link As”

 

 

Change the file extension from “.crx” to “.zip”.

Open the file in your favorite zip program. (I use WinRAR)

Extract the files to a folder on your hard drive

In Chrome, open the extension tab by typing “chrome://extensions/” into the location bar

Choose the “Developer Mode” link, and then hit the “Load Unpacked Extension” button

 

 

Browse to the directory containing the extracted extension files & hit “OK”.

Turbo Torrent Search - Search the top rated torrent sites & direct download sites in a sec !

Did you give TackyNotes a try ? It has syncing apart from all the features Note Anywhere has. Can you try out TackyNotes too and suggest the better one ?
