Karooo
The new 360 controller is here, with an updated D-Pad which was probably its only weakness. acc to EG Microsoft has confirmed that a new Xbox 360 controller will be sold at the start of next year. The pad will come bundled with a charge kit and snazzy new d-pad, which should actually be half decent for Street Fighter. "The Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Play & Charge Kit - with Transforming D-pad will be available worldwide beginning early 2011," MS told Strategy Informer. Reports unearthed earlier today suggested the new d-pad rises up a quarter of an inch if you rotate it 90 degrees. omg that looks so good

Right
Nice controller, but I like candy colored buttons. Gray is meh. Very much needed wonder when sony comes with revamp of controller. They kinda did...

Bulovski
Pretty good. This was the only drawback in the controller and I hope they've fixed it. Updating d-pad doesn't mean it's completely fixed though.

Hot-Drake-Pixel
I only see this as another money making move by MS! I m more inclined towards this conclusion. Otherwise what took them so long[5-6Yrs] to fix this obvious issue?
Cash
Seriously if there's one flaw against the X360 is that the controller's d-pad stinks in comparison to the PS3's. Thats why it hasnt changed since the PS1 days.......apart from the concave triggers PS3 Controller is just not the thing for me. Don't like the Analog. Don't like Triggers. Don't like its Tiny a*s Shape Which is Just Too Small to Even Play Viva Pinata.
devil_angel
Major Nelson did mention the solution is patented. Perhaps it's possible that's where most of the time went? with the kind of design tech these days, seriosuly, 5 years spent to overcome patent restrictions? This must be a joke. ACIDICBRAT
Sure it's better for those with smaller hands and thumbs but otherwise there isn't a flaw imho. And this is coming from someone who prefers gaming on the 360 btw. I dont really like the idea of making a controller which only ppl who have small hands can use properly It should be comfy for evryone..

No because if you are a Regular 360 Gamer you never would say PS3 controller is good because for a X360 Frequent Gamer,it is almost impossible to play with the PS3 controller due its lack of size and the Analogs. but its not the same Vice Versa. Dude its the same Random business Tactic if you launch the Revamped edition of the controller just after 2 years,The durability of a certain thing produced by the company is low which is a Major advantage for the Rivalries. I'm not saying it was flawed (as I'm perfectly okay with it), but they call it the most ergonomic controller ever and decide to revamp it five years down the line (which could have been easily done during the launch), out of the blue. That's what p*sses me off. :/
