Aaah!! I always have stock of AA and AAA batteries at home. Maybe thats why I find it more convenient than having to charge the DS3.

that is what i like about DS3 now, i can plug it into any USB port, i always have my laptop around me, so i can just keep on gaming...all i wanted to stress was that why can't MS just use the same and use a mini USB port to charge even there rechargable battery packs, rather then there proprietary stuff..

In my house, there's always one PC on - one of the desktops or one of the laptops - so it's much more convenient for me to charge the DS3 than to get AA or AAA batteries. Besides, more batteries = more electronic + chemical waste. Not quite the optimum solution for the environment. And yes, I prefer wired controllers.

I guess its a difference in the way we run our setups. I've always stocked batteries in my room whether in Mumbai or Muscat thanks to the numerous remotes and gadgets I have. When I go for a business trip, I'm out for 10-20 days and after coming back I usually find the DS3 dead or nearly dead on battery charge. Thats when it becomes ultra frustrating to wait for it to charge before using it. With the X360, I just pop in a fresh set of batteries and I'm set.

But I've heard some games use it very cleverly.....like Heavy Rain for instance.

Folklore , Lair and some part of Heavenly Sword use the six-axis excellently. :good:

Not to forget the awesome Flower.

Hmm.. I don't know how but there are times when I just leave the PS3 altogether without any usage for 2-3 months on end (like I did when my last sem exams were on and till a few days before my GRE). But the DS3 still had nearly a full charge when I switched it back on.

Yeah, a difference of how we use it I guess. I stock batteries too, but I hate using them unless absolutely necessary.

I agree. But it's usually in standby. What i meant was when not using the PS3 (that's like most of the time during the week). Atleast I don't game 10 hours a day with a HUGE TV and a BIG home theater system on.

And yeah, when the PC is left on overnight, I compensate by leaving the air conditioning in my room off. :P That should even it.

Though I don't suppose you can say the same when each battery you throw away puts more lead, zinc and alkalies into a landfill and then the soil and hence someone's water supply
