ElluMiNaTi
Hey guys..need your help with this Im using a VGA cable..i hope you all are aware of the problem when you switch on your console and the resolutions are messed up..so as always i went to Display Settings..my Screen Resolution was 16:9. i changed it to some other resolution to reset it..and it shows 'Mode Not Supported'..thats fine cause it always show this and then it takes you back to the screen.. But this time it stayed on that same screen..as in black screen with Mode Not Supported written..So i switched off my console thinking it would reset. But its still showing the same error when i switch it on I know some ppl may have created a Topic regarding this but i don't visit this site too often n was having trouble finding the topics related to this
devil_angel
I think there is a manual reset for it.....don't remember correctly. Else, the hard way would be to memorize the keys to change the setting, after seeing them in another console
ElluMiNaTi
yea..i noe about the manual reset where you press certain buttons in order to reach to the Display Settings screen..but it doesnt seem to work here.. or you may be talking about ''Right Trigger + Y"..i think it works when you can see the Dashboard (a different problem from this..i guess)..this command simply resets the Display Settings Any other solution? anybody? ctrl_alt_del
Try this: Alright, here goes: once your xbox is on, press middle button, RB, RB, down, down , down, down, A, A, A, A, up, up, up, A. Hope it works lol. Doing that ^ will set it to 480p, only pressing 'up' twice will put it on 720p. Got it off Yahoo Answers.
ElluMiNaTi
I tried changing the cable..switched it to 480p..then put back the VGA cable still showing the same thing..though i'll try the button combinations..

ctrl_alt_del
If you have the TV cables that came with the 360, you could try connecting it to the TV, set the resolution and then switch back to the VGA cable and moniter.
