ninja assaxin
Hi Guys, i need a help with my xbox audio out.I recently bought a 23" HD monitor but didnt notice tht its not having audio out i bought an HDMi cable also.Is there a way to connect my HDMI cable to my Monitor and take audio out using my Component cable?(actually i did try this but i cant connect both hdmi cable and component cable together;no space is tehre;, MS have made sure tht only one can be connected at a time ) PS: i know tht one solution is to get a HD-VGA cable, i tired but no-one is selling in the TP.Also since i have paid for HDMI cable i was thinking i can get a pic with HDMi and audio using component cable, why not do tht
Lord Nemesis
There is an adapter provided in the Elite bundle which allows you get around this issue. The adapter's connector is shaped such that it fits even the XBOX 360 proprietary connector even when a HDMI cable is plugged in. The business end of the adapter provides Dual analog RCA (for Stereo) and Toslink for Dolby Digital 5.1. See if you can find a spare of this connector someplace. I have the Elite console and make use of it. My Monitor is connected via HDMI and I use this adapter to get Dolby Digital 5.1 to my Astro A40 mix amp via Optic cable. Noctis
You can connect both HDMI and component..... just tear off the outer covering of the component cable. edit: Im not being sarcastic, had the problem of using HDMI + digital optical before and this was the solution recommended here.
