Jigsaw Posted September 11, 2010 Report Share Posted September 11, 2010 for the OP i upgraded my hdd to a 320 gigger earlier this year. The process is darn easy and NO you do not lose anything. IIRC, first sync your trophies... then connect a fat32 external hdd to the ps3 and through the ps3 settings menu do a Backup. This will back up the whole drive with everything on it.... then simply remove the ps3 hdd and swap it with whatever new one u got... then connect the external hdd u used for backup... and do a Restore ! Upon restoral, you have your ps3 in the exact same state as it was prior to the hdd upgrade, just now you'll have oodles of space to pimp it up with Easy as pie...
