But the demo has disappointed me which is why i wont be spending 60$ on this. It is too much to spend especially when there are already many games i need to save for (MGRevengeance CE..etc). WhiteWolf Posted January 19, 2013 Report Share Posted January 19, 2013 This review is quite good... they talk abt combat more.....Game is more accessible (like all modern games) compared to old DMC games but still it's quite challenging on harder difficulties .... Big Boss Posted January 20, 2013 Report Share Posted January 20, 2013 Ok beat the game on Devil Hunter mode. I would rate it 8/10 as an action game and 5/10 as a DMC game. Overall pretty fun game. Biggest mistake I committed was that I beat it on Devil Hunter. I should have rushed through the game on Easy and unlocked the Son of Sparda mode. On Devil Hunter, certain bosses can be tougher than easy and might require multiple tries. Especially few platform heavy ones. And there is a certain type of enemy which got on my nerve a few times. SoS mode is the one to play to face a challenge. The enemies are more aggressive and there are more waves. Also, it seems you can enjoy the game if you try to set certain targets. Like I decided not to abuse the cheap mechanics like some real cheap Aquila combos or the tactic to just float in the air to defeat waves and waves without worrying much. So, ignoring the game's flaws can make it interesting. The LACK OF LOCK-ON IS f**king DISAPPOINTING. CANT STRESS ON IT ENOUGH. what the *bleep* did they gain by doing that? It could have been easily assigned to L1/L button FFS. I might buy PC version based on some gameplay videos by those who complained DmC combat about being sluggish. If they feel the game is better on PC due to 60 fps, then fine. Also, some textures on 360 version are downright fugly during cutscenes. Absolute BS textures. Cant believe UE 3 can look like crap even this late in gen. you can't expect high res..texture from 7yr old hardware with 256mb ram..Play it on PC if you want high res..textures....FC3 textures are also low res on 360.... Never thought that Son of Sparda would be the one to play. I suggest you too beat it on easy and unlock Son of Sparda ASAP to have some fun.
