MarketTantrik
Man! The Capra Demon is one cheap a*s bitch to fight. Tried the fight 9 times now. Its the hounds that bother me the most
(A)Kira
Yeah i got the sunlight maggot from saving Solaire and traded the skull lantern for the ring of fog so I'm good to go. The capra demon should die with some whacks from a two handed drake sword. What you should do as soon as you enter is go up the stairs and the dogs will follow you so you can easily dispatch them. Sorcery is very effective in this fight. Few soul arrows should take care of those dogs. Then its a piece of cake

MarketTantrik
^^ I know, but those f**king dogs jump all over the place and if you turn your back on the Capra Demon, you're screwed.
meaNmachine
Can someone detail a path to Vamos for me? In the room before Pinwheel i could hear his hammer but couldn't find a way there. Watch video on YT to know exactly how to find Vamos. The area where you hear his hammer (near the second bonfire IIRC) , there is a staircase that breaks off. Use the skull lantern to see the level below. Drop down to the lower level where you can see a corpse. From there drop down again. Man! The Capra Demon is one cheap a*s bitch to fight. Tried the fight 9 times now. Its the hounds that bother me the most Use the stairs to your advantage (while blocking). Climb the stairs and then drop down. This will give you some time to kill the hounds without worrying about the demon. Make sure you are using a shield with 100% physical damage block. Also the stamina recovery rate is very slow if you keep holding the block button. So leave the button for a second or two in the middle of the fight so that you recover stamina quickly. (A)Kira
Thanks i found him. Now i can get me some chaos.
Aftrunner
Get some poise MT. That helps immensely in the Capra demon fight. If you have low poise or no poise, those dogs will stun lock you to death. Get the wolf ring from the forest (its probably the best ring in the game IMO) and wear that along with whatever heavy poise armor you have. Then when you enter the room, head to the right of Capra first, then head left BEHIND him and make a dash for the stairs. Sort of make a reverse C shape around Kapra to get to the stairs. It will still be touch and go. But 80% of the times you will be ok. Esp if you have pose.
MarketTantrik
I keep trying the reverse C thing but I'm finding it extremely difficult to make the move up to the stairs without being hit by Demon or the hounds. I've decided to farm some souls and level up END a bit so that I can move faster with the armor equipped.
Aftrunner
Get. Poise. Seriously. Its the difference maker in so many fights. High poise means that enemies cant stun lock you. That they cant interrupt your attack with their attack. Its invaluable in fights like Kapra. Go to the forest, get the Wolfs ring. Get some heavy armor (Chainmail has decent poise). And then try the fight again.
MarketTantrik
^^ Thanks but I managed to kill that SOB in my first attempt today. Did the whole run up the stairs routine to get rid of the hounds and then used a few firebombs on him before finishing him off with a few heavy attacks from the Drake Sword. Progressed quite a bit further and am now faced with the Gaping Dragon. I reverse the hollowing and summon Lautrec to keep the dragon engaged while I hammer away at his hindquarters, but his tail whip attack always gets me. MarketTantrik
Finished both main game & DLC....Slayed MANUS in my first attempt....Zweihandler +15 was just too much for that BEAST !!!!You opted for a STR build?
MarketTantrik
Defeated the Gaping Dragon yesterday. Took three tries with both Solaire and Lautric summoned thanks to that f**king tail whip attack. Surprisingly, my attacks chopped off his tail resulting in a pretty awesome weapon drop. Unfortunately Solaire perished before I could finish the battle and I didnt get his special coin. I have also ascended ZWEIHANDER to +8 and it deals out soooo much damage even used single handed. MarketTantrik
GAAAAAAAAH! Yesterday was one of my worst days with the game. I had equipped 10 Humanity to boost item drops and, like a f**king idiot, decided to head back to the Undead Asylum. Got my a*s handed to me by the Stray demon and couldn't recover the Humanity Now, I have to farm Humanity to make up the deficit.
Elessar
Equipping 10 Humanity is certainly a risky move on your first playthrough. Unless you're specifically farming some enemies for loot, I wouldn't recommend carrying more than 2 soft humanity initially. A little while later you can get a ring which boosts item drops, so you can equip that while farming without risking loss of humanity. Stray demon would be quite tough at this level, come back later to finish him off. Hope you got the Rusted Iron ring from the Asylum while you're there, it will be helpful in Blighttown. MarketTantrik
I didnt stay there. After six attempts, I came back to Firelink Shrine.
