Aftrunner
Having 10 humanity by itself isnt really a good idea. The first Humanity brings your item discovery to 150. The 10th on brings it to 210. So basically the next 9 humanity just give you a boost of 60. Just having it on 1 is a good enough most of the times unless you are farming an area for a specific item. In which case you really need the Gold Serpent ring. Anyway, if you need some and are Soul Level 40-70 range, I can drop a bunch for you. I always have a ton to spare on my main character. MarketTantrik
^^ Thanks dude. I'm on SL 32. I intend to do some farming anyway so I bet I can gather enough souls to level up my character as well.
MarketTantrik
GAAAH! Blight Town is such a depressing place. Hate those fire breathing dogs.
(A)Kira
^^^ Don't worry, after Blight town is one the most beautiful, sunlit and amazing places in the entire game. It looks stunning and is a relief after the previous dark and damp levels. It will uplift your spirits. ... ... ... ... ..... ...... ....... ......... Until those f**king archers and the tag team of Biggie and Smalls show up.

i_rock098
Does soft humanity and gold serpent ring stack up together?
(A)Kira
Yes they do. But don't try carrying too much or you may lose it all. But the gold serpent ring does not stack with the symbol of avarice.
R a g h u
Yes..humanity and the gold serpernt ring stack.
i_rock098
Thanks, I carry around 1 or 2 soft humanity along with the ring.
MarketTantrik
The swamps in Blight Town are a real pain in the derriere. I had to trek back to the Undead Asylum just to pick up the ring to allow fast movement in water.
Aftrunner
I never understood why that bothered people so much. There are only 2 places to go in that swamp. And neither of them are particularly far away. Just roll through it. Even without the ring, I can make the run to the boss in 30 seconds. And the run to Hollow in about a minute. Oh BTW, dont go into the Hollow right now. Its a pain in the a*s if you cant warp out.
(A)Kira
If you have the master key you can just enter it via the waterwheel. Then 3/4 of blight town is over.
Aftrunner
Thats a bad idea for the first playthrough. Its skips entirety of the Depths and 80% of Blighttown. And there are a lot of great items in those areas worth going for. Blighttown especially has the Iaito, Eagle shield and Power within. All of them super useful. (A)Kira
But you can just pop back in when you get better gear and have a lesser chance of getting stuck there.
Aftrunner
But by the time you get back you will be ridiculously OP and the area will just be a boring walk. Doing it in the intended order makes for intense gameplay. Especially if its your first time in the game. You would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping Depths and Blighttown with the MasterKey. Even if you come back to it later.
(A)Kira
I've seen a lot of my friends rage quit during the depths and blight town and stop playing. I almost did the same thing, but I managed to finish it. If you are on the verge of quitting then the master key is helpful is all I'm saying. Aftrunner
You should have had them summon you and help them. Friends dont let friends rage quite Dark Souls.
meaNmachine
I've seen a lot of my friends rage quit during the depths and blight town and stop playing. I almost did the same thing, but I managed to finish it. If you are on the verge of quitting then the master key is helpful is all I'm saying. Ya even many of my friends rage quit after playing a few levels. I have given my disc to three guys in the past month and none of them were able to kill Taurus demon I have spent hours giving them tips, but still they refuse to play. They say the game sucks cause it cheats Master key makes things easy but still IMO it is better to clear areas sequentially (If you are playing for the first time). ^^ Mushroom KO punch! (A)Kira
First time I saw then in great hollow I was like "Pfffft, I've killed dragons, demons and sh*t, piece of cake" Then two of them gang banged me while their children watched. Shadoken
I need some help , so I double dipped and got the PC version since it was just going for 7$ on amazon. Gotta experience that 1080p I installed DSFix and it works fine when i connect my laptop to a TV since thats 1080p. But when i play on my laptop screen ( max res 1388 * 768) , half the screen is black and the other half is like just compressed to show the game (like a 4:3 ratio) And yes I did change the resolution in the DSFix ini file, Anyone else having this same problem? Edit : nvm i fixed it -___- , in game AA was enabled. Edited May 19, 2013 by Shadoken
