I can easily solo that boss fight, but I want Ornstein armor which looks badass. You have the lord vessel right? Help me kill Smough first and then Ornstein? I can give you more chunks ^^thats sad. iron golem then ftw Have your tried Silver Knight Armor? Best looking armor in the game IMO. So any recommendation for fist weapons? Is a chaos/fire/lightning ceastus viable? I think with a dark hand, just to fully commit to it. aj21 Posted August 17, 2013 Report Share Posted August 17, 2013 this game trolled me real bad. i had offered 30 humanity for that lost izalith shortcut.guess what,ITS LOCKED BY SOME CONTRAPTION. fought that asylum demon lookalike because i had no other option but do not want to go ahead. also, cant spare 30 humanity again for the same thing . Elessar Posted August 18, 2013 Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) You sure you are trying the right gate ? And you need to still be a level 2 covenant member to open the gate.. Hope you didn't leave/betray the covenant after giving 30 humanity. Edit - Wiki also says the following. Try it. There is a bug that keeps the shortcut to Lost Izalith sealed after giving the 30 humanities required to open it. Killing a boss will clear it and open the shortcut. The easiest way is to run down to the Demon Ruins and kill Ceaseless Discharge or the Demon Firesage if you haven't done this yet. Lost 20 humanity (Hard earned through invading) and about 150k souls when I got invaded in the forest in NG+3, and also got invaded again while trying to retrieve them. Aftrunner Posted August 18, 2013 Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 If this is your first playthrough then you really should NOT go through the gate. You miss out on 2 bossfights. Now admittedly one of those two bossfights is utterly sh*t but you should still at least see as much of the game as possible. The only thing that shortcut is good for is farming demon titanite as the catchpole demon on the bridge beyond the gate respawns. Unless you are doing the shortcut for Solaire.
