If you are already at the first bonfire and dont mind watching a Youtube video to find its location, its well worth it to make a suicide run and grab the Great Scythe before you head back out.

IMO its one of the best weapons in the game. Grab it, head back. Upgrade it and start investing points into DEX and you will be a murder machine.

Just die and respawn back at the bonfire. Only loot at Undead Burg? I mean sure there is loot but the place is huge.

At the first bonfire mate. Already wasted 2 hours there. Had to run back but it worked in a positive way. These guys here at undead burg are way too easy and I am liking the combat now :D

That's good. There's a point in the game where it all suddenly clicks and you start enjoying the game. For most it is the first real boss. You'll be meeting him soon.

Also don't forget to visit the merchant in Undead Burg. He's close to the bonfire, down the ramparts on the right guarded by two lancers. Pick up the key he sells.

^kill him and get uchigatana. Best weapon in dark souls. I suggest playing whole game with uchigatana, that would help a lot in improving your skill in preparation for PvP. Hands down best weapon for pvp if you have high dexterity.

Make sure to buy bottomless box, bow, arrows and residence key before killing.

also previously finished ringing two bells, demon ruins( only till ceaseless discharge and defeated all mini taurus demons), darkroot basin, darkroot garden(only main boss fight was left)

any upgrade materials like pure bladestone(ultra hard to farm), pure darkmoonstone/moonlightstone(only with crystal lizards) in this game :fear:

after getting a good weapon with blunt damage, will upgrade it with magic ember onto the catacombs :batman:

Yup, plenty of upgrade mats including one's that drop from crystal lizards. However upgrades are a little more straightforward compared to Demon's Souls. Although it does help if you decide which weapons you want to max and what kind of build you want to go for.

Yeah that and one other titanite slab given by clearing catarina side quest are the only 2 for a playtrough. Rest all slabs only have 1 per playtrough.

Can get slabs very rarely by killing some specific enemies though. Like you can get blue slab by killing butterflies in cristal cave, red slab by killing poison spitting octopus things in lost izalith.. But the drop date is very low

DLC has a 3rd slab.

Thats actually one thing DaS 2 gets right. I got like 3 slabs before I hit the midpoint of the game.

So, what are the advantages of being human? Also, where can I sell my stuff? Can I even do that? And what exactly determines the number of estus flask? I had 10 of them at the moment and now only 5. And this Zschimitar or Zsomething sword that I found in catacombs is awesome for quick sweep. I hit and done. It literally took only two 'attack from above attacks' to taurus demon to kill him. Easier than mini bosses like black knight. Though I can weild it by two hands as of now it is still worth it.

And there is a blacksmith who sells this sword called bastard sword which does 110 damage. Is worth collecting souls for that and buy? I had like 8k souls which I lost. Could've easily bought it.

PS, that sorcerer's dance

Being human allows you to summon phantoms/NPCs (for coop). You always have 5 estus by default but you can "kindle" a bonfire to increase the number to 10. This uses humanity but that bonfire will always give you 10 estus when you rest there.

You can't sell stuff until much later in the game. It's not worth it.

Re: Sorcerers dance... You can do it once you find the weapon they use. It's my favorite taunt in PVP.

can discard, select item in inventory and press drop to discard.

can also sell later in game, but not advisable as the cost is very low so farming souls by killing enemies is better option than selling items.

I suggest you drop all useless weapons from the start, by the time you reach ng+ the inventory becomes a mess otherwise. Dont even bother storing, you can carry infinite items in your inventory.
