I am flying back on 28th and wanted to have a taste of this game before returning. Looks like I will have to shell out money for PS3 version. By the way, how did you play this game? you still have your ps3 intact and with you?

yeah, I carried my PS3 when I moved to US as I wasn't sure when I'd pick PS4. I'd suggest buying used copy of DS1(and Demon Souls, yes I completed this too) from any of the stores in Aus as they are sold for a very low price now.

People have fought bosses with a fist.................on a side note: they have a lot of time...allooooooot :fear:

Dont kill Bknight, forget him (even till end game..mostly usless)

For boss you are good, there is a tactic to use which I wont tell. You can/rather should buy a heater shield, its very good. Buy it at the merchant you meet inside a tower, outside at balcony. And buy residence key, reapir toolbox also.

Hmmn, he would be a good source to learn deflecting, dodging attacks then.

Atm he is the most shittest npc to learn anything, even the lowest npc can take you down. Later down the road you will meet Balder knights (dark-silver armor, red cape), they are good for sparring.

^^Nah, Django is right. He is a really good opponent to learn stamina management and back stabs. He hits super hard but has a huge wind up and leaves himself wide open after every swing. He is slow and predictable. He also takes a chunk of your stamina but you can learn when you put your shield up and when to lower it to recover stamina by fighting him. And he is close to the bonfire so you can run to him quickly. And he has a chance to drop a sick weapon.

Good guy to fight early on. Unlike Havel which will just make you into a pizza on early levels.

This is the best route:

--> Get to undead burg

--> reach the bonfire near the smith

--> run past the demon with the big tail (forgot the name)

--> take the right turn to reach darkroot basin

--> run past the black knight into a cave where you will find a bonfire

--> try to kill the black knight. Best way is to fight him near the edge and try to push him off. Its cheesy but that's how I did it on my first playthrough. If you are lucky, you will get the black knight halberd, a weapon that will turn everything in your path to Swiss cheese.

Alternatively, shoot the tail off of the red drake and you will get a sword that should serve you well for another few hours.

Either ways, try and kill the butterfly demon ASAP as it gives you easy souls and you get the ring that unlocks Havel's tower in darkroot basin. His ring is super useful for wearing heavy gear at early levels.

Why wouldn't Griggs sell me anything? I opened the door where he was locked and I talked to him. My intelligence level is 13 and I read that INT has to be 10 to make him sell sorcery stuff. My game is glitched it seems. :(

I loaded the game again and the sorcerer is not to be found at his original location now. :cry:
