Cant believe the developers just assume that no one will have to answer the phone, answer the doorbell, take a dump or talk to anyone while playing the game. There is no reason (or excuse) to f**k that up on the PC. Anyway, rang the second bell in Blighttown. Co oping bosses really makes them a piece of cake. i_rock098 Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 exactly, I am not against having support for controlers, I am saying that in putting support for it, don't forget kb/mouse they both can exist peacefully, let the player decide what he wants to use, don't force him to play with a controller, many games have managed that, and I hope this one dose too. and any pc gamer worth his salt would have grown up playing with a kb/mouse, and howmuch ever he has used a controller after that, he would still love the good old kb/mouse. Aftrunner Posted May 9, 2012 Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 Finished it! Really enjoyed it. Fantastic game. Better than Demon's Souls and quite a bit easier than it as well. The last boss was a piece of cake once I found out you can parry him. Almost beat him flawless. The ending was a scam though. Seriously, if I spend like 40 hours playing your game you at least owe me a kick a*s ending cut scene. Instead it just throws me back into NG+ like Demons souls. Aftrunner Posted May 9, 2012 Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) You miss out on a TON of stuff if you are offline. Invasions, co op, messages from other players. And most people will need co op help with some bosses. O&S are a tough pair of bastards if you are going solo. Ditto for the first Capra demon. You can play offline but you will make an already tough game hell of a lot harder. Seriously not recommended. If you are hollow you cant be invaded (but you also cant summon other people for help either). So if you want to play without the fear of invasions while still being online you can stay hollow and not be human. You will literally never get invaded that way. What I usually do if I dont want to be invaded is stay hollow until I get to the closest bonfire to the boss, give the boss a try solo and if I feel like I need help with the boss, go back to bonfire and go human and summon someone. That way, you have some back up if you get invaded. 99% of the times you will reach the boss fog gate even if you do get invaded so your invader gets dumped back to his world. If you want to avoid invasions, its actually not that hard. I only got invaded once when I wasnt ready for it. Every other time I had like 1-2 friendly summons with me and those guys tore the invader like 10 new assholes.
