About halfway through I was pretty much drowning in them and buying sh*t just to spend souls cause I had to stop leveling up so I could co op some bosses. There are literally tons of game this gen alone that demand more skills as a gamer than Dark souls. I mean stuff like DKCR, SMB, Spelunky etc will straight up murder you in pure difficulty. And unlike Dark Souls you will need to be better/faster to even have a shot at beating them. Even as far as RPGs are concerned Witcher 2 had some absolute bastarding difficulty spikes which were way worse than anything DS threw at me (this was the initial unpatched version though, no idea how things are now). nameless Posted July 22, 2012 Report Share Posted July 22, 2012 If you have a good understanding of the combat system, it is pretty easy (All characters and bosses attack in a specific pattern). In my second play through I stayed below level 10 deliberately (Used all the souls to level up my Uchigatana to Lighting+5) and was able to clear all the bosses except the last one (Never really tried fighting the last boss). Kept my level below 10 because is was easy to invade in all areas. (Only issue being there was no restriction on who you invade, so you could end up invading someone many times above you level also) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First, you can invade other people's world or they can invade you (similar to PvP). Second, people leaving summoning message almost everywhere, you can summon them to help you out (similar to co-op). Think both are random, so you may not be able to team up with someone you know. Edit - The fun part is invading though. This. Completely agree about the Witcher 2's difficulty spikes. Hell, Dark Mode on the EE is worse than NG+ in Dark Souls. The only skills Dark Souls needs are patience and attention. And maybe a bit of luck in one particular boss fight. how good will the pc version be?? i preordered dark souls on flipkart cause of the reviews!! does it have any sort of multiplayer coop?? pvp?? PC version is a straight port which means they aren't doing anything to optimize the performance/visuals or the control scheme. Assuming there are no technical glitches I'm expecting it to be good enough provided you plug in a controller. It will be a nightmare with KB+Mouse. The game really needs precise control over movement. As for MP, yes Dark Souls has a very interesting multiplayer component which is unlike most other games. There's PVP and co-op but it works differently. I suggest googling it because explaining it in a short paragraph is difficult. This time around am building a char with PVP in mind. If anyone else wants to co-op, please add me up. I am Soul Level 50 and I can start another char too if any of you want to start all over again. To avoid this, please refer to the minimum/recommended specifications to have a better configuration. So people be very sure about the PC Config before buying this game.
