If you are using the newest version of the fix (0.5) then look for this -

# Depth of Field resolution override, possible values:

# 0 = no change from default (DoF pyramid starts at 512x360)

# 540 = DoF pyramid starts at 960x540

# 1080 = DoF pyramid starts at 1920x1080 (for high end systems)

# 2160 = DoF pyramid starts at 3840x2160 (if you have an utterly insane ultra high end PC)

# higher values will decrease performance

dofOverrideResolution 0

Change dofOverrideResolution 0 to dofOverrideResolution 540 or higher.

no...it's a shitty port...

15fps issue

http://community.gamepur.com/topic/659-darks-souls-pc-version-15fps-issue.html

If you have a 120Hz monitor, you might run into one of two problems:

Framerate locked at 15Hz, or resolution is locked at 720x540.

The fix is to open up the DarkSouls.ini file and manually set your fullscreen resolution and monitor's framerate there.

The .ini file is located here: C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\NBGI\DarkSouls\DarkSouls.ini

Some people have reported that using HDMI rather than DisplayPort also resolves the issue.

@playstation: What you are doing is not cool at all. Shameful even.

if you are talking about pirated edition. then i I know its not cool but i also i know i am surely gonna buy this game . I am just weighing my option till then like waiting for price reduction here or getting the artbook and all wala edition from uk.

actually I am sad to see how it is running on my pc. it is very discouraging .:(

So in a nutshell, how is the port?, i purchased a new 360 controller just for this game. :fear:

Its decent. With the mod to fix resolution and DOF it looks REALLY good. Not very well optimized though so dont expect to whack everything in the mod to max and get a rock solid frame rate. And you obviously need a game pad.

Other than that, its Dark Souls. With new DLC. Plus HUGELY improved visuals. And better frame rate. So its the definitive version of one of the best games of this gen. No reason to not buy it.

This is the only fix I have used "http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix".

Have not had any problem running it on my laptop (Not tried tweaking anything so far, just using the resolution fix).

The graphics is marginally better than the console version. Have not faced any frame rates issues so far, even in boss fights (killed about 3-4 bosses).
