Aftrunner
LOL I have already finished the game multiple times on the PS3 so I know it pretty well by now. I think I have played like 10-15 hours so far (had an extended weekend) and I could easily have finished it by now if I wasnt f**king around so much. As far as the archers in Anor Londo are concerned, you can shoot at them from the little room in the middle where the two pink electricity demons spawn. If you position yourself right (close to one of the pillars) you can shoot them but they cant hit you. I think 5-10 shots of poison arrows poison those assholes. I had to summon when I first got to them as well. I think that part (along with the Bed of Chaos) are the only two parts in the game where it feels really unfair and cheap in terms of difficulty. nameless
Holy crap!! kis pace se khel rhe ho Afty bhai!! You are in the new content in just 2 days!! Btw just like u said I got my a*s kicked by the archers in anor londo. Those f**kers are shooting mini spears!! Even though I had poison arrows but I couldn't hit them much. Just couldn't find a good spot. So I resorted to summoning and got through them. Unlocked the Main door but got killed by the double boss onslaught. Will try again today. Before going to the boss, did you get your weapons and armor upgraded by the giant blacksmith? That guy can upgrade your weapons to do lightning damage and your weapons get more powerful that way. Edit - Also use pyromancy, they are susceptible to fire damage. Edit2 - Afty, what level is your character? I am trying to stay below level 20 (currently 18) and complete the game. Getting my a*s kicked in Anor Londo because of screwed up armor (Cant put on heavy armor because of low level). I overleveled the sh*t out of my character after I got my a*s handed to me in the DLC areas. Level 70+ now. Was planning on staying sub 50 to co op with people and stuff. But I spent one hour in the DLC and went "Yeah lets level the f**k out". Edit I also think I havent lost a significant amount of souls this time around. Most I lost was like 20k at the Bed of chaos. If you are a dex char, you can use the Pharis bow. It has the best range and S scaling for dex. I can say that most weapons scale best with dex (including the bleed effect), but the STR weapons have good move set. All this only matter if you are trying to limit your self within the PVP level (125).

So I am not sure if its 10+ hours, if I had to guess I would say its not nearly that big. But I will say this, it is VERY well made. Holds up to the rest of the game in quality. Not like that Skyrim DLC bullshit. New areas, new bosses, new items etc. IVG review oughta be up once I am done with the DLC, should know more by then. Aftrunner
The DLC is pretty f**king cool. Until, I found myself back in a dark, dreary place again. I thought I was done with this after the Tomb of the Giants. I hate the dark. Its tough. Its scary. And I can always hear something with glowing eyes growling at the edge of my vision. Someone get me out of here. On the plus side, I look like a badass even if I dont feel like one. Aftrunner
Yeah thats a Halbred. Mine is Lightning (+5) too. It just tears through most stuff. I dont usually go for slow weapons like Halbred or the Zwiehander but I wanted to play around with this build a little. Ended up sticking with it cause I rather like it. Its useless on (AFAIK) two boss fights though. If you have gotten yourself to Seath then you should finish him first. He is weak to lightning so your Halbred should do decent damage. I am assuming you already know you cant beat him the first time you face him. And the second time you face him you are supposed to destroy that Crystal tree thing in the boss room because otherwise you cant beat him. Also stick to his left side and keep hitting his tail. He isnt very good at seeing things on his left. Lastly, two hand your weapon. The shield doesnt do much. Regarding where to go after that, you need to kill 4 main bosses (along with Seath) to get a shot at the final boss. Once you are done with Seath you have 3 options. Demon ruins, Catacombs or New Londo ruins. Generally I would say do Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith first (those areas will give you a decent chunk of souls to upgrade) as that is the easiest of the three. Keep in mind that the other two areas need some serious prep work. Dont go to Catacombs with a divine weapon. Enemies that are killed with any other weapon just get back up after 4-5 seconds. Dont do New londo ruins until you get the Covenant of Artorias ring. Which you get by killing Sif in Darkroot garden. Lastly if you dont have pyromancy, now would be a good time to look into that. Otherwise Tomb of the Giants (second part of Catacombs) is a proper f**king bastard with just a weapon. You need some kind of magic. Shadoken
Thats the thing about this game , no matter how badass and high level you are . you can still get owned. Heck happened to me in demon souls , there I was all high level and I walked into NG+ 1-1 . I just walked past the first few thinking wth can they do , then they all jumped at me and i died
Aftrunner
Make sure you pick up the key to Undead Asylum Floor 2 if you plan on going back. That key will get you a pretty bitching ring thats useful in certain areas. you can find the key on the building to the left of the crow's nest. VanillaDuo
Very nice armor there Afty. Is that a Halberd? I am using it myself. Have upgraded it lightning +4 recently. Btw, I defeated those twin bosses at Anor Londo. Pretty tough fight that was!! Now after placing the lordvessel in the firelink altar went to Anor Londo once again and headed to Duke's Archives. As expected got my a*s kicked by Seath there. Any suggestions where should I go now? I haven't explored darkroot basin and garden much yet, so I think maybe that's where I should be headed btw i am at the same place. SL 70-80 I forgot. Have not played this for a month or two I guess. Also completed all the side areas like painted world, great hollow etc.

pbpoovannagamer
i finally defeated Taurus Demon after 12 failed attempts and 20 hrs of playing now i am here is it worth taking on this bull monster?? i used a passage, came behind the bull went into a tiny passage below ground and a few easy undead came at me and i couldnt swing my axe , it kept ricocheting off the wall and those easy monsters slew me
WhiteWolf
I also defeated Taurus demon and that Bull.. Defeating Bull was easy imo...but Taurus Demon
Aftrunner
That bull is pretty easy to kill. He has a limited range where he follows you and after that he turns back. So EXACTLY where you are standing in that screenshot, bait him to come close to you. Then keep moving back. He will then lose interest and turn around to go back. Then you hit him a few times. Repeat until he is dead. If you have any firebombs left, he is pretty weak to fire. Another way to defeat him is to lure him to charge you when you are standing in front of either of those two fires you see in your screenshot. And then dodge so that he runs into fire. He will kill himself if you do it twice. That is hard to do though. You have to kill those archers first, there is a path on the right where you can climb up to where they are. Also I hope you threw down the ladder to open the shortcut from the bonfire. Its on the right hand side of where you are in the first screenshot. 20 hours though. I admire your perseverance.
