Aftrunner Posted October 23, 2012 Report Share Posted October 23, 2012 There are a couple of options. You can get the Grass crest sheild right after you beat the Taurus demon. Its in the Dark root basin. Good shield with stamina regen. It only does 95 % physical block though (doesnt matter IMO but still) and has pretty low stability. Its my personal favorite but probably not recommended for a new player. Or you can do a suicide run to the Valley of the drakes bridge, there is a Spider shield on there. VERY good shield with respectable stats. Otherwise you can pick a generic one off the merchant in Undead burg. Or the hollows drop a good shield too. Aftrunner Posted October 23, 2012 Report Share Posted October 23, 2012 Are you talking about the Asylum demon? He gives you some souls and a key you need to escape but thats about it. If you defeat him instead of running away the first time you see him he also drops his hammer (decent for an STR build). I just remembered trying to make a run for to reach the Sunlight Altar's bonfire, without beating it. Now I can't seem to see the Dragon over there. Glitch? I have a couple of questions: 1. Which character and what free gift should I choose in the beginning to have a better experience in the game PS: I mostly enjoy the in game experience hence play on normal or easy difficuty, have a good history of rage quitting due to a large number of games and less amount of time ; I know this game can be a patience tester, but hell let me give it a shot; kindly make a suggestion keeping this in mind ) 2. I have read online; that it has an option where in; you can see/help/kill other gamers if you are on XBL gold; is there a special mode for the same? Once you use your Humanity and 'Reverse Hollow' at the bonfire, you can start seeing others gamers summon signs for help. However you got to be ready to be invaded also.
