Aftrunner
Dont you go about proclaiming how DeS is better? And here it seems like you have finished about 20% of Dark Souls.

And here it seems like you have finished about 20% of Dark Souls. :giggle:/> What does my above post has to do with des being better or not...and i have always said till whatever i have played of dark souls it seems des was better....and even know i still feel the same .. and btw for your kind information.....i made it my way back to firelink shrine...through valley of drakes...it was not easy but i always like to take the rough road. playstation
I really don't get this. Playstation, you said that you have finished demon souls. And whatever I've read about demon souls and dark souls ( and trust me, I've read a lot :P/>), everything points to the "fact" that demon souls is harder than dark souls. But it doesn't seem like that from your posts (and progress). Ofcourse Demon souls is harder than darksouls...i have still managed to get quite far in this game where as in demon souls it took me long time to get anywhere... right now i am talking about the problem i am in dark souls...i dont know how you guys bring demon souls here....there is absolutely no reason to bring that here. Aftrunner
Do you mean online codes? Then no, no codes to "play online".
Nikushimi
Gonna get this baby after exams. Not many interesting game releases on January apart from DMC. Plenty of time to die.

Nikushimi
Its does look cool in a crazy Japanse-y way, sort of like a DMC parody. DMC isn't supposed to be taken seriously anyway. If the combat is fluid and challenging I'm sold. Unfortuntely it seems like you have no choice but to take the hard way out of Blighttown. But it's no big deal really since some really cool stuff is hidden in the upper levels (Iaito, Eagle Shield etc). Also, have you found the Chaos Covenant after killing Quelaag? It's behind an illusory wall down the stairs after you ring the bell. Just make sure you don't attack the egg carriers. There's a bonfire there which doesn't need kindling for 10 Estus. And if you're playing as Pyro I highly recommend joining the Covenant.

Bro, first of all good to see you...you have been gone for quite some time.. anyways i did made it my way through ...check my post.. .i made it my way back to firelink shrine...through valley of drakes...it was not easy but i always like to take the rough road. btw i did not join any chaos covenant or anything...i could not see that...i missed it i guess... I am now in ano lono...went my way through serend(dont know what exactly its called)...so from there i went on going and made it to ano londo...damn crazy place...such narrow routes...but i am now in this building with quite some doors and knights in there...where that guy who use to say "mm....ahhh...still closed" is also there in that building.. Tyler
Thanks man. I see you made it past what is undoubtedly the most annoying part of the game... the dreaded Anor Londo archers! I'd say spend some time farming the silver knights in the building and then get prepared for one of the most challenging (but very awesome) boss fights in the game. So what build are you playing? So what build are you playing? i started with pyromancer...I am using sword and shield most of the time...my stamina and health are pretty decent...i am still struggling to use good weapons like great axe and all..needs strength 50 ....mine is 21 now...i am farming some souls there...trying to make my strength to 24. Tyler
Don't be disappointed if you can't use certain weapons. They're meant for specific upgrade paths. Basically you can take any good sword up to +15 and it should be good enough. As for putting points into STR, do it only if you have to i.e. if you use STR weapons. You can check the stats of the weapon and check the golden icons with A, B, C, S etc next to them. They tell you what attritubes the weapon scales with and how much. If a weapon has a S, A or B next to STR it means the better your strength the more damage the weapon will do. Upgrading some weapons also increases the rating of the scaling. As a general rule it's better to stick with either STR or DEX weapons. I prefer DEX weapons but I guess it's more of a personal preference. i_rock098
How is that axe which you get after cutting the tail of that dragon in the depts?, I forgot its name, it needs 36 str.
Tyler
Not as good as some of the other weapons you find. The tail weapons are mostly for novelty (apart from the Moonlight Greatsword you get for Seath's tail). After about 5 playthroughs I found these to be the best weapons in the game: Claymore Iaito Washing Pole Balder Side Sword Uchigatana Black Knight Greataxe Black Knight Greatsword Quelaag's Furysword Chaos Blade Moonlight Greatsword Zweihander Having said that you should stick to whatever weapon you feel comfortable with. The key is upgrading them correctly. Any normal weapon taken to +15 on the normal upgrade path is generally better than most novelty/unique weapons you'll fine. Claymore is imo the best of the greatswords. Zwei is also equal to it. Black Knight Greatsword is behind them both. But in the end like you said, it really depends on your playstyle and which sword you think has the movesets you find the best. Thanks, actually i am looking to change my current weapon which is a black knight halberd, while its quite strong halberd is really not my thing, can you suggest a sword or axe for me, i am a heavy str tank character, also about my weapon preference, one of my most fav weapons of Demons Souls was Meat Cleaver, although slow, it would crush opponents like ants, its strong attack was even strong enough to break through opponents guard, any similar weapon here?
