Suicide jump from above the landing, near where you see fight the first blowdart guy. You get an awesome katana, but with hight stats.

I'd rather prefer to downsample from an insane resolution and a solid 30FPS, and doubling up the game logic also as mentioned before also shortens your rolls and jumps.

yup it dose, stuck at sens fortress because of it, the traps have becoming too fast to avoid, thinking weather i should continue or bring it down.

Just quit the game to title menu if you want to pause and don't want Play time to rise.

Otherwise, there's lots of areas to rest where enemies won't attack you....there are no respawning enemies once you clear any area unless ofcourse you die or rest at fire.

lol, doing that only right now :P

Still using the Drake sword? Take a screenshot of your stats page and I will see if I can find an appropriate weapon and upgrade it for you when you reach the bottom bonfire in Blighttown.

afty, any meat cleaver like weapon recommendation for me?, i loved the weapon and its stat scaling in demons souls, anything similar here?, my black knight halberd is starting to show its age.

Man-serpent Greatsword (dropped by Snake guys in Sens fortress) and Butchers Knife (dropped by Maneater Mildred when she invades you in Blighttown) are kind of similar. Both have excellent STR based scaling.

Did a tanky ultra great sword character and a katana wielding dex character. Sorcerer build is up next. Damn this game is so addictive. >.<

Which great sword did you use in that? Black Knight Greatsword?

I have a nearly maxxed out lightning Halbred and a Queelags furysword (both work with your stats) which I can drop if we co op. But as you say co op doesnt work for you.

The iato is an excellent weapon. IMO its tied for the second best weapon in the game (along with the Uchi). Get it up to +5 with the blacksmith down the firelink shrine. That will give you some damage. You need to pump points into your DEX to get more damage from it. Re the bonus parameters, like I said earlier -

Weapon scaling works on the Stat Bonus. Each weapon (unless its an elemental weapon like lightning or fire or chaos) has an associated Scaling level. You can see it in the weapon description. It goes from S (being the best) to A then B then C then D (being the worst).

So for example if you have a weapon that scales A with DEX then the higher your DEX stat the more damage the weapon does.

But a weapon with scaling B will do less damage with the same DEX stat than a weapon with Scaling A.

So if you are using weapons that have a good scaling rating then having higher stat that Scaling works with will do more damage.

But like I said on Steam, its not the worst idea to start the game again. Your stats are a little too spread out for a new comer. Your Vitality is really low so no wonder you die a lot. Ideally, a good first time build would be high VIT, END and then DEX if you want normal weapons or super high VIT and END if you want lightning weapons. That way you can easily learn the ropes without dying all the time.

Starting over you can better invest in stats and get the blacksmith back.
