I goddamn hate TotG soooooo much. I have finished the game about 20 times or so (or at least killed all the bosses except Gwyn in a run) and thats the one area I always rush through.

It takes a special kind of sadistic person to put enemies that have a giant knockback effect on tiny ledges in total dark where you cant see them.

Did a suicide run and got the Claymore and another item on the Bridge. Visited that area again later but the Dragon was not there. Also killed the Armored Boar and that Black Knight on top of the tower, got an awesome sword but can't use it now. Using Drake sword and Knight's Shield :D

This is without any doubt the best game i have played on PS3.

How can i improve movement speed of my character? I am putting points in Endurance to increase my Equip Load limit. Will that affect running/rolling speed? My current equip load is around 30. Level 24 Character.

Movement and speed depends on your equip load. If your current equip load is less than 25% of you max equip load, you move the quickest and also gets the fastest roll. less than 50% of max load means medium speed and roll, greater than 50% means you are slow and gets the fat roll.

Finally killed the Helkite Dragon! No arrows, just the Drake Sword. Found an easy way to do it. There is one part of the bridge where the Dragon's flames don't reach us (the part where the Dragon jumps before shooting flames). 10k souls :D

Got loads of titanite chunks, saving them for future use. And still need to find that guy in Depths who will give me pyromancy flame.

Seeing all these posts, I am not getting a thing. Is it really that complicated? How is tutorial :fear:/>

Tutorial teaches you the controls. And thats like 1% of the game.

It is complicated. At times unnecessarily so. Even something as simple as upgrading your weapon is something you have to read up on the game's wiki.

But once you get into it, its absolutely like nothing else out there. One of the best games of this gen.

Which class did you start off as?

Warrior :giggle: Jack of all trades build. Will invest properly in next playthrough.

There is no tutorial in the game. You only get notes that explain basic things in the beginning, rest you learn by exploring and meeting new NPCs.

And the game is not that tough/complicated as people think it is. Yes the combat is difficult than most games but it is also immensely satisfying. Boss fights are exactly how it should be, challenging and no lame QTEs. After you get used to all the gameplay mechanics, all you need to do is play the game patiently with a good plan to take out multiple enemies. This isn't a hack n slash game so if you try to rush through it you will have a hard time. There are so many options to build your character exactly the way you want it.

Backstab and 'Parry n Riposte' kill animations are so f**king awesome :D

EDIT : Do i need DLC for online co-op, how does it work? I can see bloodstains and glimpses of other players occasionally but no option to join anyone's game.

:P

This is exactly what I mean when I say the game is ridiculously complex. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, something as simple as co op or PVP. Covenants are even more convoluted. You cant even join some of them until you read a wiki or stumble across one by accident.

Anyway, you dont need the DLC to do co op. But you need to be in Human form to invite other players to join you. Which is the only time when you will see summon signs (White or Gold) colored signs on the floor. Usually you will most often find summon signs either close to a boss door fog wall or the bonfire before the boss.

If you want to join someone else's game then you have to put your sign down and wait for someone to invite you. As before putting a sign close to the boss often works. You can get a white soapstone to put co op sign down from Solaire close to the Dragon bridge.

Also what Soul Level you are is also important. If you are too high SL then its hard to find Co op partners. Its usually your SL +/- 10 levels and 10%.

This is going to be a bit of a rant.

I just got invaded and slaughtered while waiting for summons signs to appear, by a player who was obviously more powerful than me, carrying weapons, armors and sorceries that I havn't even seen before. I tried to put up a fight, was very, very patient with my tactics, and even got a few hits on the bastard, only to see that it barely did any damage. Right after he one-shot-killed me (not a parry, backstab, just beating my endurance bar down), he bowed at me. Because this assh*le thought he had thought he had just won a fair fight.

I have been invaded before (havn't tried it myself yet), and i admit it was exciting at first, but it has slowly gotten very tiresome. Isn't this just a form of cheating? Would it have been impossible for From to cap the level of invasions, like they do with summons? Do i really have to disconnect to play the friggin game?

I upgraded fire claymore to +10 but still the damage is around 170 for strong one handed attack . I saw some videos and the damage was per hit was around 400 . :scratchchin:/>

Damage stacks up acc to your stats: strength, dex etc. Also whether the weapon was ascended to raw or occult.

Killed that Dragon in Depths. Now next area is Blighttown. Is there any shortcut to Firelink Shrine from Depths/Blighttown ? Backtracking will take a long time :|

Also anyone playing on PS3? Add me for co-op :)/>

There is, its through the valley of the Drakes. You can access it early if you have the master key. Else you will have to kill the boss at blight town to obtain it.

Queelag is not an optional boss but you dont get the key from her. The key is in a chest at the highest level of the wheel structure next to the second bonfire.
