playstation
I killed the last boss of the original game and immediately credits rolled and i was back to square one of the game. How do i access DLC in pc version??
Nikushimi
New game+. You can't free roam after killing the final boss. To access the DLC you need to rescuse Dusk of Oolacile (kill the yellow golem behind the hydra in darkroot basin) and the kill the golem in the dukes archives. He will drop a broken pendant. Once you get the pendant, go back to where you rescued Dusk and you'll find a portal to Oolacile. playstation
New game+. You can't free roam after killing the final boss. I guess not. As soon as i killed him ..there was a bonfire . I went and lit it. Soon credits started rolling and i was back to where i started the game .
pbpoovannagamer
hey certain weapons like Zweihander Large Club are making me move very slowly in spite of me having the necessary strength to wield them in one hand !! what stat do i need to increase to move at normal speed?? and i now find that drops from enemies are better when i have souls and am human!!! is that a fact? or just chance? meaNmachine
^^ You are moving slowly because of the weight of those weapons. Check your equip load. If your load is less than 25% of max equip load then your character will move fast. If leas than 50% then medium speed. And if load is more than 50% then slow sluggish speed. Increase your endurance to increase your max equip load. I don't think being in human form boosts your item discovery. That is done by equiping the 'Gold Serpent ring'. Aftrunner
Having humanity in your humanity counter and being human actually does improve your item discovery rate. Not as much as the Gold serpent ring but still noticeable enough. Having souls doesnt change anything though, thats just a coincidence. You found a large club? Thats a really good weapon if you are going for a STR build. Scales really well with your STR stat.
pbpoovannagamer
the large club was a drop from those fatty monsters who generally drop dung piles in the short cut cave to blight town!! the black knight near the blue tear stone ring dropped his awesome shield as well!! You can get Havel's set armor in Anor Londo, but they are very heavy. If you want a one handed sword with fast swing speed then go for Uchigatana/ Iaito. Both are similar looking katanas. Uchi has a nice thrust as secondary move whereas Iaito has a forward swipe. Both weapon's damage scale with DEX and not STR. I got Uchi by killing the Undead Merchant in Undead Burg. For Iaito you have to go to Blighttown. There you have to make a tricky jump from one platform to another to get the sword. You die if you miss Not that hard but i died a few times. playstation
finished the game and dlc content as well. Luckily had a save file just before ending boss and started the game again to play dlc.content. People who want to play dlc content dont kill the final boss . Dont set the lordvessel as well. It all has to be done before that to go to dlc area. Overall i still think Demons souls was better experience for me. May be it was first game in the series but even then i liked some of the boss from Demon souls more and even area in demons souls were better. Dark souls area most of them was nothing to talk or even remember about. DLC area on the hand was nice. I liked the sanctuary garden, chasm of the abyss etc. I hope with DS2 they improve the graphics and some environment designing stuff.
Aftrunner
DO NOT bother with the Iaito or the Uchigatana unless you are putting up serious points in DEX. They are both useless to a STR character. I suppose you could turn it into a Fire/Chaos/Lightning Uchi or Iaito but its not really worth it IMO. All three of those got nerfed in the newest patch and the damage isnt that great on it. If you are making a build with STR focus then stick to those heavy weapons. They hit slow but do a ton of damage. The large club is nice. Also you can get a Manserpent greatsword little bit later which is (IMO) the best STR weapon in the game. Reasonably fast and does a sh*t ton of damage. You can even get a Halbred, in the Undead parish church courtyard. Good weapon, decently fast, long range and does great damage even when its turned to lightning/fire/chaos path.

Nikushimi
^^ You probably haven't met the required parameters for effectively wielding the weapon
Aftrunner
i am going for strength build but when i used the Halbred i moved clumsily my character lunges out with the weapon and then she staggers forward like its very heavy or something in spite of meeting requirements Yeah thats normal. You do that small stagger if you miss an attack and dont hit anything. It doesnt happen when your attack connects though. So dont worry too much about it unless you hit nothing but air when you attack. Plus the R2 attack is a really good one with great reach. I loved it in PvP, its a really good counter to lag. My advice, upgrade that Halbred to lightning. Keep your Giant club or a Manserpent greatsword as your pure upgrade weapon.

pbpoovannagamer
damn it i got cursed by those creepy frogs in THE GREAT HOLLOW where do i get a purging stone? what strategy to use now ?? bloody hell HP is only half and i lost a lot of souls and when i tried recovering it i got cursed again but i still love this game, the developers seem to love to f**k with us players
Nikushimi
The pardoner guy (forgot his name) sells purging stones. He's near the stairs of the first bell tower.
pbpoovannagamer
where to get curse resist gear ?
Tyler
The Paladin set has the best curse resistance but you only get it in the Tomb Of The Giants. My advice is to just avoid the Basilisks (curse frogs) in the Depths. If you don't fall to the lower sections you're good. And even if you do, just take it slow... step back when they start the attack. It has a very long wind up. They're rather easy to kill. EDIT: Just read the last page. Looks like you got cursed in the Great Hollow. No worries, just go back to Undead Parish and the area where you fought the Bell Gargoyles and buy the purging stone from the NPC there. Aftrunner
Man, going down the Great hollow without the Lordvessel (so you can warp out) was not a great idea. Going up that giant tree is a bitch. Forget hunting for the curse resistant gear. The three best pieces of curse resistant gear are the Curse resistance ring (found in New Londo Ruins after you drain the water), the Havel's Set (found in Anor Londo) and like Ty says Paladin set (found in Tomb of the Giants). Those arent places you want to go right now. Or even can go to right now. Besides you can only get cursed in 3 places. The Depths, the Great hollow and one boss fight much later on. So curse resistance isnt that important. So get the hell out of that tree. Get your curse cured with a purging stone. And dont go back into the hollow unless you have the Lordvessel to warp out.
