Pretty much what Ty says.

Only thing I will add is if you are stuck at a boss, lay down your own summon sign and help out someone else. Best way to learn how to beat a boss is to co op it. That way you help someone else beat the boss. You learn the boss's patterns. But most of all you get a shitload of souls. Easier than farming and much more fun.

Prioritize your points into VIT and END. Having a lot of health is really important if you are a beginner, it will let you make mistakes and live. You can always get Chaos/Fire/Lightning weapons that dont require high stats but do great damage. But nothing beats having a sh*t ton of health.

It's really subjective. The first playthrough will always take the longest. Took me about 40 hours I think. However NG+ took less than 15 even with harder enemies. Subsequent playthroughs have mostly been under 15-20 hours.

It's really amazing how quickly you can go through the game if you understand it well.

Yeah Gaping Dragon has the best boss intro plus his design is totally messed up.

I won't really say he's "easy", he can be challenging if you aren't prepared and he has a ton of health. Looks like you are getting better and have some decent equipment. Then again you did manage to beat Queelag before him :)

I also like Grey wolf Sif's intro, which was very unexpected :) And i also felt Gaping Dragon was easier than Queelag boss fight.

Can you tell me how to get the Thorn set? This one : armor_of_thorns.png .

According to the wiki i have to kill Knight Kirk when he invades me at three different locations i.e Depths, Demon ruins and Lost Izalith before killing the area boss. But i have already killed Gaping dragon :( So any chance of getting this armor? Looks awesome.

I'd say the entire team is great. Even the writing, which doesn't get the credit it deserves is brilliant. The world lore, item descriptions and whatever little dialogue is present in the game is amazing.

Almost everything right from the weapons, armor, enemies and bosses has a story behind it. And unlike most games it's not blatantly in your face.

Dark souls art and level design team is amazing.....

Looks like i am the only one who feels level design and art of demon souls were better...even boss designs i feel of demons souls were better.

Some of the boss of dark souls that i liked was that sif the wolf, gaping dragon i agree was really nicely designed...i cant think of much from dark soul..the dlc bosses i liked though...

Meanmachine.... Nope I don't think you can get it now. You must kill him at all three locations for the armour to spawn.

Don't worry though, the armor isn't that great. If anything it may increase your chance to accidentally damage NPCs.

@pb... Yeah Sen's Fortress should be next. But I'd recommend going to Darkroot Garden/Basin and getting some of the items there (Wolf Ring, Elite Knight set, Glass Crest Shield etc). You can also try beating the two bosses and the hydra. They aren't that difficult.

And yeah you committed a sin by joining another Covenant without leaving the previous one. I will try to explain Covenants a bit more in detail later (on phone right now). But don't worry too much about it. Covenants are optional and you really shouldn't bother too much on the first playthrough.

Unless you're playing a Pyro build, in which case joining Chaos Servant will help greatly.
